  • Publication number: 20230153553
Abstract: A transaction card may monitor an amount of electric current induced in a first near-field communication (NFC) component of a transaction card. Electric current may be induced in the first NFC component when the first NFC component is within an electromagnetic field generated by a second NFC component of a transaction terminal. The transaction card may dynamically activate one or more output components associated with the transaction card based on the amount of electric current induced in the first NFC component. The one or more output components may indicate whether the transaction card can communicate with the transaction terminal. The transaction card may perform an action related to completing a transaction after determining that the amount of electric current induced in the NFC component satisfies a first threshold. The first threshold may indicate that the transaction card can communicate with the transaction terminal.

  • Publication number: 20230138423
Abstract: In some implementations, a system may receive interaction data based on an interaction of a user with a terminal, wherein the interaction data indicates a location of the terminal. The system may determine a plurality of entities having a corresponding plurality of locations that are within a geographic area that includes the location of the terminal. The system may determine, based on the plurality of entities, one or more categories for categorizing a purpose associated with the interaction of the user with the terminal. The system may transmit, to a user device of the user, information that identifies the one or more categories. The system may receive, from the user device, information that identifies one or more user-specified categories of the one or more categories. The system may store, in the database, a record that includes the information that identifies the one or more user-specified categories.

  • Publication number: 20230130057
Abstract: Disclosed herein are financial article handling devices comprising an external aperture connected to a rotary table. The rotary table can contain two or more financial article handling units disposed on the rotary table, each of which can be configured to form an interface with the external aperture. The financial article handling devices can receive an indication from a first financial article handling unit that the first financial article handling unit is no longer functional, disconnect the first financial article handling unit from the external aperture, and articulate the rotary table such that a second financial article handling unit is in communication with the external aperture.

  • Patent number: 11636464
Abstract: Systems and methods for securely generating and printing documents are disclosed. For example, processor(s) of a computer system may receive information for the document from a computing device through a network, verify the information for the document, and upon verification, generate document generation data using at least a portion of the information for the document. The document generation data may include document metadata that enables generation of an image of the document and/or the image of the document. Upon the processor(s) verifying first authentication information of a first code associated with a printing device received from the computing device through the network and second authentication information of a second code associated with the computing device received from the printing device through the network, the processor(s) may transmit the document generation data to the printing device through the network, and cause the printing device to print the image of the document.

  • Publication number: 20230112833
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for associating rule mining in data comprising first and second variables, by generating a first and second filtering bitmap. The first filtering bitmap represents a set of values for the second variable for each of a plurality of values of the first variable. The second filtering bitmap represents, associations between frequent values of the second variable, which enables the identification of frequent 2-pattern itemsets. Thus, by performing first logical operations on the frequent 2-pattern itemsets, frequent high order-pattern itemsets may be identified. A max pattern itemset may be identified among the frequent high order-pattern itemsets. As a result, embodiments may mitigate performance and stability problems associated with conventional association rule mining approaches.

  • Patent number: 11620630
Abstract: Systems and methods using a network of wearable devices to support secure payment for a user are described. The network of wearable devices may include a wearable secure unit including a first short-range transceiver, a wearable sensory unit including a second short-range transceiver, and a wearable communication unit including a third short-range transceiver and a long-range transceiver. The systems and methods may include receiving a transaction request from a merchant device. Thereafter, the systems and methods may obtain information from the wearable secure unit configured to provide an environment in which processes and data are securely stored and executed. The systems and methods may also obtain information from the wearable sensory unit configured to capture and compare biometrics of the user with a stored profile. Based on the obtained information, the systems and methods may instruct the wearable communication unit to transmit to the merchant device user authentication data.

  • Patent number: 11620374
Abstract: In some embodiments, securing device commands includes a first electronic device receiving a command authorization request message from a second electronic device, including a device command to be performed by the second electronic device, a command argument, and a first message authentication code (MAC) generated by applying a hash function to the device command, the command argument and a first counter value. The first electronic device generates a second MAC by applying the hash function to the device command, the command argument and a second counter value synchronized with the first counter value. The first electronic device compares the first MAC and the second MAC to authenticate the device command and transmit a command approval message or a command denial message. The command approval message causes the second electronic device to perform the device command and the command denial message causes the second electronic device to reject the device command.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a device for changing a gear of a bicycle. The device can include a casing, a lever moveable relative to the casing for actuating a gear change of a bicycle, and a rail arranged on the casing, wherein the rail extends between a first end and a second end. The lever can be configured to move along a length direction of the rail, which extends between the first end and the second end of the rail, for actuating the gear change of the bicycle. The rail can extend about a width direction and project from the casing about a height direction. The casing can include a flange located at the second end of the rail, and the flange can be configured for inhibiting the lever to continue moving beyond the second end of the rail in a direction which extends away from both the first end and the second end of the rail. The flange can at least partially span a width of the rail.

  • Publication number: 20230051347
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer-readable storage mediums described herein enable executable code of a hardware security platform (HSP) circuit to communicate with a hypervisor in a separate processor. The hypervisor generates and manages virtual machines. The HSP code comprises trusted platform module (TPM) logic, that processes TPM commands received via the hypervisor, and in response to the processing, communicates security information (e.g., measurements, keys, authorization data) with the virtual machines via the hypervisor. The TPM logic receives security information related to a virtual machine from the hypervisor and stores the security information in non-volatile memory of the HSP circuit, where security information from a particular VM is distinguishable from security information from another VM in the HSP memory.

  • Publication number: 20230024880
Abstract: A system may receive first level authentication data from a first user, authorize first level access to a secure device, and transmit a push notification including a second factor authentication key to a first user device responsive to first factor authentication data matching stored authentication data for the first user. The system may receive a wireless communication from the first user device attenuated by one or more beam attenuating materials to form a first attenuated beam profile. In response to a match of the first attenuated beam profile to a stored beam profile beyond a predetermined threshold, the system may associate the second factor authentication key as an authorized login credential for the first user. The system may receive the second factor authentication key from the first user and authorize the second factor authentication data to grant the first user second level access to the secure device.

  • Publication number: 20230025391
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments may include a system that may receive first level authentication data from a first user, identify a first user device associated with the first user, and determine whether a current location of the first user device is within a predetermined proximity of a first computing device. In response to the determination, the system may detect one or more objects within the predetermined proximity of the first computing device using the one or more positional sensors. The system may determine that at least one of the one or more objects is associated with a human, and in response, trigger a security measure. The system may transmit an indication of the triggered security measure to the first computing device, and may transmit instructions to the first user device configured to cause the first user device to provide an alert to the first user.

  • Patent number: 11562099
Abstract: Embodiments enable a displayed webpage containing sensitive information to be accurately and efficiently sanitized. The sensitive information is contained within a text string of the webpage and displayed using a font specified in a style sheet. The text string that is to be sanitized is determined based on a tag for sanitization associated with the text string. When the tag is determined the text string is rendered using a font from the style sheet that is not legible. Upon rendering, the text string of the webpage is redisplayed using the non-legible font, which effectively sanitizes the text string containing the sensitive information.
