  • Patent number: 12222975
Abstract: A system predicts metadata attributes associated with documents using machine learning models. The document may represent an interaction between entities. The system trains machine learning models to predict scores indicating whether a token or a sequence of token of a document represents a metadata attribute. The metadata prediction is used to annotate the document and display to users. The system receives user feedback via the user interface and uses the user feedback to evaluate or retrain the model. The system generates training data by receiving a set of annotated documents and comparing the annotated documents against other documents to identify matching documents. The system determines when to execute the machine learning based metadata prediction based on steps of document workflow executed by the system.

  • Publication number: 20240017254
Abstract: Described herein is a system and method for determining the presence and/or amount of a target in a sample. In some embodiments, a microfluidic device, such as a strip having a microfluidic network thereon, is inserted into an instrument to perform an assay therein. The strip may be configured to receive the sample from a porous member via capillary action, with minimal or no compression of the porous member. The instrument may include a gas bladder actuation assembly, actuated by an eccentric cam, to compress and decompress a gas bladder on the microfluidic device, thereby enabling fluid movement thereon. The instrument may further comprise a magnet disposed in a fixed location, so as to capture any complexes formed between the target and magnetic particles disposed within the microfluidic device. The magnet may be aligned with an optical detection assembly configured to detect the target captured with the magnetic particles.

  • Publication number: 20220170392
Abstract: A beam-like crosshead for a valve train of an internal combustion engine is proposed for the transmission of a cam lift to two gas exchange valves. The crosshead has two side walls which are connected by a transverse wall, and, on an upper side of the transverse wall at its longitudinal center, a contact surface for a cam follower, and, on an underside of the transverse wall at each of its longitudinal ends, a valve contact surface. The crosshead is a reversed bowl-like hollow body which is produced from steel sheet using stamping/bending technology. From the transverse wall the side walls and, transversely at each longitudinal end, end walls hang in a finger-like manner. Cut edges between the side and end walls, starting from the transverse wall, form cut-outs.

  • Patent number: 10876472
Abstract: A spark-ignited (SI) internal combustion (IC) engine designed to operate on high octane fuels, such as gasoline, is reconfigured to operate on low octane fuels including logistically preferred distillate fuels, such as diesel or JP-8. Design modifications involve coupling a fuel reformer module to the internal combustion engine. Auxiliary components include a system control module, a heat exchange module, a bypass valve to facilitate start-up, and/or a throttle body to control a reformate-oxidizer mixture fed to the engine. Small portable generators having 0.3-3.0 kWe power output are disclosed based upon the modified SI-IC engine design.
