Abstract: Various embodiments relate generally to data science and data analysis, computer software and systems, and wired and wireless network communications to provide an interface between repositories of disparate datasets and computing machine-based entities that seek access to the datasets, and, more specifically, to a computing and data storage platform that facilitates consolidation of one or more datasets, whereby a collaborative data layer and associated logic facilitate, for example, efficient access to, and implementation of, collaborative datasets. In some examples, a system may include an atomized workflow loader configured to receive an atomized dataset to load into a data store, and to determine resource requirements data to describe at least one resource requirement. The atomized workflow loader may be further configured to select a data store type based on a resource requirement, and perform a load operation of the atomized dataset as a function of the data store type.

Abstract: In one aspect, a method of managing a participation of a virtual power plant (VPP) comprising a plurality of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) in an ancillary service market for an electric grid is provided. The method comprises generating a bid for participating in the ancillary service marked over a time period, transmitting the bid to the ancillary service market, receiving a response from the ancillary service market indicating that the bid was accepted, and identifying a request from the ancillary service market for the VPP to provide grid support to the electric grid during the time period. The method further comprises generating, based on the bid and in response to the request, at least one charging profile for one or more of the EVSEs, and providing the at least one charging profile to the one or more of the EVSEs to implement the request for grid support.

Abstract: A wet glazing shield gasket includes a support portion and a sweep that extends from the support portion and that terminates at a barrier lip. The sweep is supported for resilient flexure between a neutral position and a flexed position relative to the support portion. Furthermore, the barrier lip is configured to engage a glazing unit for collapsing the sweep onto the support portion as the sweep flexes away from the neutral position and toward the flexed position. The sweep is configured to extend between the frame and the glazing unit and to be a barrier for the seal member as the sweep flexes away from the neutral position and toward the flexed position. The sweep and the support portion are configured to layer over each other and cooperatively occupy a gap between the glazing unit and the frame when in the flexed position.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for sacroiliac joint fusion described include an implant comprising a first body having a distal anchor and a second body having proximal anchor. The first body includes a threaded body integrally formed with the first body or threadably coupled to the first body. The distal anchor may be formed by a pair of deployable wings. The pair of deployable wings may be deployed within the cancellous bone of the sacrum and anchored against the cortical bone of the sacrum. The proximal anchor may engage with an outer surface of the ilium. The second body may be threaded along the threaded body to provide compression across the sacroiliac joint. Compressing the sacroiliac joint can reduce motion thereof to promote fusion and stabilization.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for predicting a biometric value in a blood glucose measurement system and, more particularly, to a biometric value prediction method capable of predicting a future biometric value of a user by generating a predictive model through a communication terminal having a small memory and amount of calculations, such as a smartphone that the user always carries to manage a biometric value, and applying the biometric value of the user to the generated predictive model, and capable of predicting a future biometric value of the user without requiring biometric information of other nearby users and without access to a server, by generating a predictive model personalized for the user on the basis of biometric history information of the user.

Abstract: A method and apparatus to monitor air filter life and motor usage in a forced air filtration system is disclosed. The forced air filtration system uses a constant volume (CV) motor to drive a fan or blower to force the air through the filter. The generated data allows the users to schedule air filter replacement and motor maintenance to maintain system performance and avoid interruption of normal operation due to equipment failure. The motor life monitoring may also be used by equipment manufacturers and users to track equipment life expectancy.

The method comprises: receiving a plurality of first phasor measurement unit (PMU) measurements from a plurality of PMUs of the power system; determining a plurality of expected PMU measurements associated with a future time period based on an optimization algorithm that uses differences between a plurality of consecutive predictive entries and the plurality of first PMU measurements; receiving, from the plurality of PMUs, a plurality of second PMU measurements associated with the future time period; determining whether the power system is encountering the malicious attack based on comparing the plurality of expected PMU measurements with the plurality of second PMU measurements; and executing an action based on whether the power system is encountering the malicious attack.

The hardware unit can be added to a network without substantial modifications to the other devices already connected to the network. The hardware unit includes a switch that has at least two positions. In one of the two positions, the hardware unit detects and blocks or drops data packets or frames that contain an instruction of a known file-sharing protocol other than a reading instruction when the instruction is not addressed to a runtime file but transmits all the data packets or frames when the instruction is addressed to a runtime file. Thus, a cyber attack may be prevented instantaneously by what it attempts to do, typically the creation, insertion, deletion, update, renaming, or writing of files to compromise code or data while retaining the usual browser functionality.
