  • Publication number: 20240389931
Abstract: A plurality of optical excitation ultraviolet light wavelength bands is scanned on a wound sample. The material sample exhibits optical spectral characteristics along the light wavelength spectrum. Excitation response wavelengths emitted by the wound sample are captured in response to the plurality of optical excitation ultraviolet light wavelength bands. The capturing is accomplished using an image sensor. Output values of a plurality of pixels of an image from the image sensor are measured. The image represents excitation response wavelengths captured by the image sensor. The measuring detects optical spectral characteristics of the wound sample, and the optical spectral characteristics are in response to the plurality of optical excitation light wavelength bands. An output signature indicative of composition of a condition of the wound sample is provided, wherein the condition of the wound sample provides a metric of wound monitoring.

  • Publication number: 20240390055
Abstract: A medical system and method for estimating a treatment region for a medical treatment device is provided. The system includes a memory; a processor coupled to the memory; and a treatment control module stored in the memory and executable by the processor. The treatment control module generates an estimated treatment region which is an estimate of a treatment region which would have been derived as a result of a numerical model analysis such as a finite element analysis. Advantageously, the estimated treatment region is generated using a fraction of the time it takes to generate the region using the numerical model analysis.

  • Patent number: 12148457
Abstract: A method, in accordance with one aspect of the present invention, includes writing, by a tape drive, data tracks to a data band of a magnetic tape having servo bands flanking the data band, the writing being performed using a magnetic head that is not designed for a format of the magnetic tape. An effective pitch of servo readers of the magnetic head used simultaneously during the writing matches a servo reader pitch specification of the format of the magnetic tape. An average effective pitch of write transducers of the magnetic head is greater than a data track pitch specification of the format of the magnetic tape.
