  • Patent number: 5068319
Abstract: The present invention relates to dyestuffs soluble in organic solvents having the structure: ##STR1## wherein R is CF.sub.3 or phenyl, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are the same or different substituent groups selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, hydroxy, halogen, C.sub.1 to C.sub.3 alkyl and C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkoxy, R.sub.3 is selected from the groups consisting of hydrogen, C.sub.1 to C.sub.3 alkyl, C.sub.1 to C.sub.3 alkoxy, COOH, and COOR.sub.5 wherein R.sub.5 is C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl, R.sub.6 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, sulfonyl, C.sub.1 to C.sub.3 alkyl, C.sub.1 to C.sub.3 alkoxy and halogen, and n is zero or a whole number ranging from 1 to 3. The dyestuffs of the invention are useful as light absorbers or antihalation agents in photosensitive compositions. They may also be used as dyeing agents for paper, fibers or films and as components in printing ink formulations.

  • Patent number: 4681187
Abstract: A collapsible sawhorse having a bench and four legs extending outwardly therefrom at a fixed angle. All of the legs are hinged to the bench so as to be movable between an upright position and a collapsed, substantially flat position. An arm is pivotally mounted to the outer legs at opposite corners of the sawhorse and each arm terminates in an angular finger which mates with a U-shaped bracket extending from plates mounted to directly opposite legs. The sawhorse is secured in its upright position when the fingers mate with the U-shaped bracket and may be folded when the fingers are released from the bracket. A tool holder is hinged to the legs a predetermined distance below the bench so as to be collapsible with the basic structure.

  • Patent number: 4679669
Abstract: A shock absorber for a wireline instrument, the shock absorber having solid, cylindrical upper body, a cylindrical sleeve, and a mandrel. The mandrel has a hexagonal upper portion, a circular center portion, and a lower nose portion. A bolt connects the mandrel to the upper body, so that the mandrel can move telescopically within the sleeve, but cannot fall out of the sleeve. Three carbide cutting elements are mounted on the sleeve adjacent to alternate sides of the upper portion of the mandrel for cutting chips of material off of the sides of the mandrel as the mandrel is moved into the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 4238749
Abstract: An electromagnetic circuit breaker is provided having a flux producing solenoid and a movable armature attractable to the solenoid upon the occurrence of a predetermined current level and duration. A flux path in the form of members of low reluctance are arranged so that the flux circuit comprises a plurality of loops, each loop having one or more variable reluctances which are dependent upon the position of the armature and a movable core located within the solenoid. Increased pulse resistance is obtained without substantially effecting the operation of the switch upon sustained overloads of a predetermined level and duration. The bobbin on which the solenoid coil is wound is provided with a groove with which a member of low reluctance is lockingly engaged. Other low reluctance members are configured to facilitate assembly of the circuit breaker.
