Publication number: 20230213658Abstract: A system for navigating a mobile object receives satellite navigation signals from a plurality of satellites. Using one or more of the satellite navigation signals from the plurality of satellites, for each respective channel of a plurality of channels, the system generates an estimate of clock error of a clock of the mobile object using a first error correction stage and generates an estimate of a respective carrier tracking error for the respective channel using a second error correction stage that is distinct from the first error correction stage. In accordance with the estimate of the clock error and the estimate of the respective carrier tracking error for each of the plurality of channels, the system computes position and velocity estimates for the mobile object. The system performs a navigation function for the mobile object in accordance with the computed position and velocity estimates for the mobile object.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 14, 2022Publication date: July 6, 2023Inventors: Wei Yu, Richard G. Keegan, David Man Kui Li, Mark P. Kaplan, Brian C. Goodrich

Patent number: 10904221Abstract: A mechanism for flexibly securing data is discussed. A data entry device analyzes data from a user with respect to a security industry whitelist and an originator list and an analysis result controls a masking level of the data. The security industry whitelist references types of data that is not subject to industry-defined encryption standards. The originator list references data originators that produce data requiring non-standard handling. The data from the user is transmitted to and further examined for non-compliance with a pre-defined criteria at a computing device.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2019Date of Patent: January 26, 2021Assignee: Walmart Apollo, LLCInventors: Ralph Grayson Hull, IV, Daniel David Manning, Jason Todd, Tim Webb, Aaron Marcus Johnson

Patent number: 9483570Abstract: A set of hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) requests for Web application content can be routed from a client computing device to a Web server. The routed HTTP requests can be analyzed for patterns indicative of user interest in a business offering available via the Web application. An unrequested HTTP request can be conveyed to the Web server for Web application content that was not explicitly requested from the client computing device. The Web server can convey a response to the unrequested HTTP request that provides content from the Web application related specifically to the user interest. The response can cause a user interface of a Web browser of the client computing device to display the content that is related to the user interest.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2010Date of Patent: November 1, 2016Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Matthieu Connan, Shadi Ghaith, Kiransingh Ghoorbin, David Manning, Mark McGloin

Patent number: 9197355Abstract: Drop port based shared risk link group (SRLG) systems and methods assign SRLG information to drop ports in another level or layer of a network. Thus, drop side SRLG information can be shared between different networks or layers enabling a combination with line side SRLG information within a network to identify and prevent single points of failure across the networks. Typically, SRLG details are assigned to line ports (NNI ports) within a network and this information is not shared with external networks or network layers for routing a connection through the network and the external networks. By assigning SRLG details to a drop port, this information can be relayed between the network and the external networks and considered when planning a route through all of the networks.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 2012Date of Patent: November 24, 2015Assignee: Ciena CorporationInventors: Gerard Leo Swinkels, David Man-Wah Yeung

The at least one fluid circulation circuit includes a plurality of pumps connected in parallel to circulate a fluid through the at least one fluid circulation circuit, with at least two of the parallel connected pumps operating at all given loads. A separate motor drives each pump and a speed control is used to vary the speed of each motor to thereby vary the pumping capacity of each parallel connected pump. A load detector is provided to sense operating loads on the system, and each operating pump runs simultaneously at all loads, relative to a maximum pump speed, at a substantially similar reduced speed, a predetermined equal reduced speed or a predetermined almost equal reduced speed.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 17, 2015Publication date: August 6, 2015Inventors: David Man Chu LAU, Ka Lim SHEK

Patent number: 8500313Abstract: A light fixture assembly having a plurality of sockets to receive a plurality of electrically powered sources of illumination, and a plurality of receptacles to receive a plurality of LED lights, the assembly including a housing. The plurality of receptacles are mounted on the fixture housing and a logic board is mounted in the housing, the logic board being electrically connected to a switch, and the switch is electrically connected to a source of electrical power. Separate electrical connections extend between the logic board and the sockets, and between the logic board and a voltage reduction device. The voltage reduction device is electrically connected to the receptacle to provide a lower voltage to the LED receptacles compared to the voltage of the electric power supplied to the light bulb. The switch is operable between off and on positions; and the logic board activates and deactivates the electrical energy provided to the sockets and to the LED receptacles upon operation of the switch.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2011Date of Patent: August 6, 2013Inventors: Ronald R. DeVries, David Manning
