  • Publication number: 20240315286
Abstract: A method and apparatus as disclosed in the present disclosure may provide supercooling functionality for a wide range of perishable items. Supercooling may be accomplished by using at least one of magnetic fields, electric fields, displacement current, or a combination thereof. Supercooling of the perishable items may be accomplished by selecting specific parameters (e.g., power amplitudes, waveforms, frequencies, and duty cycles) of the least one of magnetic fields, electric fields, or displacement current to drive the electronics that create these energies. Different perishable items may require different combinations of these parameters to achieve optimal supercooling effects. Different combinations of the parameters may be applied to different perishable items so that different type of perishable items can be supercooled concurrently or simultaneously. Further, the different combinations of the parameters may be applied at any time relative to one another.

  • Patent number: 12096536
Abstract: A lighting system uses AC power lines to distribute both power and control signalling from a Powerline Communication (PLC) control transmitter to a number of lighting modules. Each lighting module has PLC communication and digital control circuitry for operating a DC lighting element. Power is fed from the AC power lines to a AC/DC power via electrical filtering which substantially blocks absorption of signals in the PLC control signal band, allowing PLC control signals greater range along the AC power lines. Each lighting module may be adapted to ignore, after receiving a first command from the PLC control transmitter, subsequent commands from the PLC control transmitter for a period of time. The period of time may be signalled from the PLC control transmitter or determined by each lighting module. In this period the lighting module may repeat a previously received command or send other traffic over PLC.

  • Publication number: 20240302368
Abstract: Migration of human peripheral leukocytes in response to chemotactic factors during pregnancy. The methods include determining the likelihood of a pregnant subject undergoing delivery within about 7 days by obtaining peripheral leukocytes from the pregnant subject and determining a chemotactic activity of the leukocytes, wherein an increased likelihood of delivery within about 7 days is indicated when the chemotactic activity is at a level characteristic of a full term pregnancy. Chemotactic activity is assessed by measuring migration of peripheral leukocytes towards a chemoattractant which is a factor present in a sample comprising human fetal membrane obtained from a full term pregnant subject. Other biomarkers or F-actin polarization of peripheral leukocytes are also indicative of the likelihood of a pregnant subject undergoing delivery. Further methods disclosed include minimizing complications of preterm delivery by administration of an IL-1 antagonist when there is a likelihood of preterm delivery.

  • Publication number: 20240251017
Abstract: System and computer-implemented method for connecting a proxy client to a transport client through a transport service with a plurality of stateless transport server nodes in a distributed computing system uses a command channel established from the transport client to a first transport server node in the transport service. A second transport server node in the transport service is selected for a connection request from the proxy client. The first transport server node is connected from the second transport server node when the second transport server node is not the first transport server node with the command channel so that connectivity between the proxy client and the transport client is established through the first transport server node and the second transport server node.
