  • Publication number: 20200003450
Abstract: A laminar flow diffuser with integrated lighting has a frame for supporting an air plenum and a lower housing. The air plenum receives conditioned air from a source of conditioned air. The lower housing is attached to the bottom of the plenum. An aperture plate damper installed below the top plenum regulates the flow of air from the plenum through the laminar flow diffuser. A clear or translucent the perforated diffuser face forms the outlet from the lower housing to the room below. LED strips are positioned around the inside periphery of the lower housing. A perforated reflector panel is position below the aperture plate damper and above the LED strips to spread the light from the LED strips across the perforated diffuser face.

  • Publication number: 20200007157
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for hardware-accelerating various data processing operations in a rule-based decision-making system such as a business rules engine, an event stream processor, and a complex event stream processor. Preferably, incoming data streams are checked against a plurality of rule conditions. Among the data processing operations that are hardware-accelerated include rule condition check operations, filtering operations, and path merging operations. The rule condition check operations generate rule condition check results for the processed data streams, wherein the rule condition check results are indicative of any rule conditions which have been satisfied by the data streams. The generation of such results with a low degree of latency provides enterprises with the ability to perform timely decision-making based on the data present in received data streams.

  • Publication number: 20190378307
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for compression of 3 dimensional (3D) geophysical (e.g., air temp, water temp, wind, current, humidity, salinity, etc.) datasets that contain regions of NaNs (IEEE standard representation for Not a Number) that represent land, i.e. geographic positions that do not have valid data. Embodiments of the present disclosure allow constraint of the error magnitude by a user specified threshold, where compression and error are inherent tradeoffs.

  • Patent number: 10475099
Abstract: Various approaches provide for determining the selection and/or ranking of items to display based at least in part upon the probabilities of a user being interested in those items. The probabilities can be based on profile information of a user. The profile information can include a three-dimensional virtual model of the user. When a search for content is received, the information for the three-dimensional virtual model can be used to determine a set of items. For each item, a matching score quantifying a visual appreciation can be determined based on how well an item virtually “fits” the three-dimensional virtual model. Based on the matching score, the selection and/or ranking of items to display can be determined. In some situations, the items can be shown to appear to be worn by the three-dimensional virtual model. The user can purchase items, cause item information to be presented to other users or sent to other devices, and/or perform other such actions.

Abstract: Systems and methods for cleaning and maintaining artificial airways sized for insertion within pediatric or neonatal patients (e.g., external diameters of less than 5 mm) are disclosed. The system includes a multi-port ventilator manifold configured to couple to a ventilation source, thereby forming a ventilator circuit with the patient. The manifold includes an occluder configured to advantageously reduce an amount of dead space in the manifold so as to prevent loss of positive end expiratory pressure of the ventilator circuit and reduce the likelihood of broncho-pulmonary dysplasia of the patient, or even premature death.

Abstract: There is provided systems and methods for pilot alertness and awareness of target aircraft and target obstacle that are flying within a proceeding flight path collision. Transmitted guiding sound signals consisting of three dimensional effects and tonal sounds are generated by a flight unit, and sent to the pilot's headset for the desired purpose of directing the pilot's head position to locate the target aircraft and target obstacle. The flight unit processes time of collision from received target aircraft broadcast, and contain at least GPS data and target obstacle information from stored navigational maps. The flight unit further receives the pilot's head position through means of a head tracker. Furthermore, the flight unit is able to perform the functions of, storing piloted flight information, voice language instruction, flight assisted notification, and communicating with one or multiple mobile devices such for the information to be displayed visually, and is upgradable remotely.
