Publication number: 20100292649Abstract: The device for securing medical tubing is an attachment for use with medical tubing, such as a nasal cannula, nasogastric/orogastric tubes or the like, that permits the medical tubing to be comfortably and releasably secured to the skin of the patient. The device for securing medical tubing includes a base having opposed inner and outer surfaces. Laterally opposed peripheral edges of the first surface of the base are releasably secured to one another to form a channel for receiving and releasably securing a portion of the medical tubing. The outer surface of the base is divided into an attachment portion adapted for releasable attachment to the patient's skin, and an outwardly facing portion. Preferably, a layer of non-allergenic adhesive is applied to the attachment portion of the outer surface. The adhesive layer may be covered by a release strip.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 12, 2010Publication date: November 18, 2010Inventors: David A. Morrison, Kristen K. Taenzler

Patent number: 7828792Abstract: An implantable drug delivery system utilizing a non-magnetic valve/accumulator metering assembly is disclosed. The solenoids of the prior art, which respond to magnetic fields, are replaced by Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) wires and associated control electronics. By exploiting the inherent characteristics of SMA wires, which can expand and contract based on their temperature, the movements required to actuate the metering assembly can be achieved. This configuration retains the benefits associated with the prior art, while eliminating the major drawback.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2008Date of Patent: November 9, 2010Assignee: Medasys IncorporatedInventors: Jason McNally, David Morrison, Constantin Matchey

Patent number: 7640868Abstract: A stand for a stereo speaker. The stand comprises a support and a plurality of isolating and polarizing assemblies that engage the support and allow movement of the speaker relative to the support in one direction more than in another direction and to isolate that movement relative to the floor surface upon which the support rests. Preferably, the stand also includes a shelf and a plurality of rods that engage the assemblies and connect the shelf to the support. A first assembly engages a first end of each rod with the shelf and a second assembly engages the second end of each rod with the support. The assemblies are configured to permit more movement of the rods in a first horizontal direction than in a second horizontal direction. Thus, the assemblies allow the shelf to move back and forth in the first horizontal direction in response to vibrations in the speaker and air movement adjacent the same.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2007Date of Patent: January 5, 2010Assignee: D Morrison Consulting Inc.Inventors: David Morrison, Robert G. Publication number: 20090269544Abstract: The present invention provides systems and methods for the incorporation of glitter particulates in flocked pile fabrics, as well as fabrics manufactured using the same. The fabrics produced according to the invention comprise flocking and glitter particulates at the exposed surface of the adhesive used to attach the flocking and glitter particulates to the fabric. By adhering the glitter particulates to the exposed surface of the adhesive layer—rather than admixing the glitter particulates with the adhesive—the decorative effect is maintained while reducing the amount of glitter particulates used in the manufacturing process. In addition, the process does not require the passage of glitter particulates through an adhesive deposition tool, thereby eliminating shape and size restrictions imposed by the use of such tools.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 28, 2008Publication date: October 29, 2009Applicant: Microfibres, Inc.Inventor: David Morrison
