  • Patent number: 10788515
Abstract: A shunt is composed of multiple pieces with at least some of the pieces being connected by a conductive channel that provides uniform flow of current. The conductive channel may be a recess, raised portion, stand-alone component, or other channel that directs current to flow from one piece of the shunt to another piece in a uniform manner, resulting in an accurate current reading for the shunt. Further, the shunt may include multiple pieces that are composed of different materials.

  • Publication number: 20200289089
Abstract: A device obtains ultrasound signals with ultrasound sensors without using ultrasound coupling gels on the face of the device. One such device includes an acoustic coupling pad that is placed on the ultrasound sensors. The acoustic coupling pad replaces conventional water-based ultrasound sensing gels to obviate the need for using such gels that may cause an electrical short circuit between electrode leads of electrocardiogram sensors positioned adjacent to the ultrasound sensors in the face of the device.

  • Patent number: 10750126
Abstract: One or more key performance indicators are necessary to properly measure the health of video surveillance applications and the supporting infrastructure. Some of the key performance indicators include: Video Path Uptime (VPU), Video Stream Delivery Index (VSDI), and, Video Retention Compliance (VRC). From these metrics, it is possible to calibrate whether a surveillance infrastructure is operating properly. These metrics can be used to properly alert video network administrators of problems that are actually affecting the video surveillance application. It is also possible to use these metrics to build better analytics to determine root cause of problems as well as build prediction models for potential problems before they occur.

  • Patent number: 10698404
Abstract: A controller of a motorcycle determines that the motorcycle is lane-splitting. The controller transmits a notification to vehicles in proximity to the motorcycle. In response to the notifications, the vehicles facilitate lane-splitting by the motorcycle. In particular the vehicles may flash lights to communicate that the vehicle has received the notification and will facilitate lane-splitting. The vehicles may facilitate lane-splitting by refraining from performing lane changes. The vehicles may further notify the motorcycle if lane changes are needed and the motorcycle controller may provide an alert to a rider.

  • Publication number: 20200177444
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure include a scalable distributed computing and network system that is configured to update multitude of passive devices in many isolated networks. The system may include a centralized update service (CUS) computing device that receives a firmware file, generates a firmware profile, identifies passive devices that include outdated firmware, select one of the identified passive devices as a test device, and send the firmware file to the test device through intermediates and proxy agents. The CUS computing device receives feedback from the test device, generates a trust score for the firmware file based on the received feedback, and determine whether to send the firmware file to the other identified passive devices based on the generated trust score.
