  • Publication number: 20230174402
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an improved scale inhibiting formulation that is effective, environmentally friendly, and does not add any organic compounds or traditional polymeric compounds to treated water. The scale inhibiting composition includes molecular clusters of polyammonium bisulfate (PABS), which can interact physically, chemically, or physio-chemically with one or more ions in the water or water-containing system being treated. That interaction inhibits scale accretion and/or removes previously formed scale.

Abstract: A stop for stopping a trolley on a rail is described. The trolley comprises a set of wheels, including a first wheel and the rail provides, at least in part, a running surface, including a first portion and a second portion thereof, for the first wheel. The stop comprises an actuator providing a third portion of the running surface between the first portion and the second portion and an arm, coupled to the actuator. The stop is arrangeable in a first configuration, wherein the arm is arranged to block the trolley therepast. The stop is arrangeable in a second configuration, wherein the arm is arranged to allow the trolley therepast. The stop is arranged to move from the first configuration to the second configuration by actuation of the actuator, preferably by a movement of the actuator in a direction transverse to the third portion of the running surface.

  • Publication number: 20230153516
Abstract: Described herein is a computer implemented method for generating webpage data. The method includes processing a set of design element objects to generate a set of element-grid records, each record corresponding to a design element and including a unique column start, a unique column end, a column start offset and a column end offset. The set of element-grid records is processed to generate a webpage grid definition that defines a grid including a plurality of columns and a plurality of rows. A first design element and a second design element have a same horizontal start position and the webpage grid definition defines: a unique column start gridline for the first design element; a unique column start gridline for the second design element; and a zero-width first column between the first and second column gridlines.

  • Patent number: 11633844
Abstract: A surgical device includes an adapter assembly that selectively interconnects a loading unit and a device housing. The adapter assembly includes a drive converter assembly for interconnecting a rotatable drive shaft and an axially translatable drive member of the loading unit. The drive converter assembly converts and transmits a rotation of the rotatable drive shaft to an axial translation of the axially translatable drive member of the loading unit. The drive converter assembly includes a drive element, a drive nut, and a distal drive member. The drive element defines a longitudinal axis. The drive nut is disposed about the longitudinal axis, and the distal drive member is disposed along the longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 11617581
Abstract: A surgical stapling device includes a handle assembly, an elongate body extending distally from the handle assembly, and a tool assembly. The tool assembly includes an actuation sled that is movable through a staple cartridge to eject staples from the staple cartridge and a clamp member that is movable through the tool assembly to move the tool assembly from an open position to an approximated position. In order to minimize dead space in a proximal portion of the tool assembly, the actuation sled and clamp member are supported in a nested relationship in a pre-actuated state of the surgical stapling device. The clamp member is subsequently moved to a position proximal of the actuation sled during a firing stroke of the stapling device.

  • Patent number: 11589866
Abstract: A surgical device includes a jaw assembly, an articulating assembly and a drive shaft. The jaw assembly includes first and second jaws. The articulating assembly is removably coupled to a proximal end of the jaw assembly and includes a distal joint member, a proximal joint member, and a pivot pin. The pivot pin is fixedly coupled to the distal joint member and is rotatably coupled to the proximal joint member. The jaw assembly and the distal joint member together define a first longitudinal axis. The proximal joint member defines a second longitudinal axis. The drive shaft includes a gear element that is meshingly engaged with a pivoting gear element that is fixedly coupled to the pivot pin. Longitudinal movement of the first drive shaft pivots the jaw assembly relative to the proximal joint member about a pivot axis defined by the pivot pin.

  • Patent number: 11583275
Abstract: An adapter assembly includes a knob housing, an outer tube, an end effector, an articulation link, and a sensor assembly. The end effector is movable from a first position where the end effector is aligned with a longitudinal axis defined by the outer tube, to a second position where the end effector is disposed at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis. Longitudinal translation of the articulation link relative to the outer tube causes the end effector to move from its first position to its second position. The sensor assembly includes a first portion disposed in mechanical cooperation with the articulation link, and a second portion disposed at least partially within the outer tube. The sensor assembly is configured to determine an actual amount of articulation of the end effector based on a distance the articulation link move longitudinally relative to the outer tube.

  • Patent number: 11498716
Abstract: A method of applying a linerless label to an article wherein a web of joined labels is die cut from a web of label material in which the adhesive is protected by a water-soluble coating which provides a cushion between an anvil and die cutting means. The water-soluble coating is at least partially removed by exposure to water in a press following die-cutting, in a label applicator, or in an off-line unit. The web of joined labels may be wound and unwound between each of the above options. The web of joined labels may be separated in a label applicator by breaking a weakened boundary between adjoining labels or by cutting at a boundary between the label and the adjoining label. The linerless label may contain anti-counterfeit means that may be subsequently identified overtly and/or covertly.
