  • Publication number: 20240185419
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to systems and processes for automated skin feature detection and analysis, and more particularly to identifying and assessing the characteristics and age of skin contusions, bruises, and other similar skin features using a deep learning model. Images of a patient's body part are captured via a digital camera with a light source. The parameters of the light source are determined, and other information is gathered, including skin color and medical history of the patient/subject. Images of an injured area are combined with contextual clinical information as inputs to a machine learning model. The machine learning model detects and estimates characteristics of skin features. In an exemplary embodiment, the machine learning model detects bruises on the skin, and estimates their age and outputs the estimate to an end user along with a measurement of the uncertainty in the estimate.

  • Publication number: 20240180639
Abstract: Surgical systems and methods involve a robotic manipulator with a force sensor and a surgical tool that holds a screw. The screw has a known thread geometry. A navigation system tracks a pose of a target anatomy. Controller(s) store the known thread geometry and control the robotic manipulator to maintain the rotational axis on a planned trajectory with respect to the target anatomy based on the tracked pose of the target anatomy. The controller(s) detect, with the force sensor, a force applied by a user. The controller(s) control a rotational rate of the surgical tool to rotate the screw about a rotational axis and an advancement rate of the surgical tool to linearly advance the screw along the planned trajectory. The rotational rate and the advancement rate are based on the force applied by the user and are proportional to the known thread geometry.

  • Publication number: 20240180518
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method includes releasably attaching an image capture assembly to a distal portion of a TEE device. Next, the TEE device coupled to the image capture assembly is inserted into an oral cavity of the patient. With the image capture assembly releasably attached to the distal portion of the TEE device, image data of an esophagus of the patient captured by the image capture assembly is displayed. While viewing the display of image data, the TEE device coupled to the image capture assembly can be moved within the esophagus. With both the TEE device and the image capture assembly disposed within the esophagus, the image capture assembly is detached from the TEE device. With the image capture assembly detached from the TEE device, and with the TEE device disposed at least in part within the esophagus, the image capture assembly is removed from the patient.

  • Publication number: 20240183189
Abstract: A levering post removal device for pulling a post from the ground includes a base plate to which a fulcrum is attached. A beam is rotatably attached to the fulcrum so that short and long segments of the beam extend toward a first edge and past a second edge of the base plate, respectively. A coupler, which comprises at least one biting element, is attached to a tether extending from the short segment distal from the fulcrum. The coupler is slidably attachable to a post positioned proximate to the first edge of the base plate, positioning the biting element to selectively engage the post. Application of a downward force to the long segment causes the biting element to engage the post and an upward force upon the post. The biting element disengages from the post upon raising of the long segment, whereupon the coupler slides down the post.

  • Publication number: 20240187321
Abstract: In one example, a method for prediction future network anomaly events is disclosed. The method includes generating a machine learning model for a computer communication network. Generation of the machine learning model can be by applying a historical set of time series data metrics of the computer communication network to train the machine learning model. The method may determine a data metric threshold that indicates a limit for future data metrics associated with the computer communication network. The method may analyze current data metrics associated with the computer communication network, and predict a future time when the data metrics associated with the computer communication network will meet or exceed the data metric threshold value. The method may flag the prediction of the future time to avoid a network anomaly.
