  • Patent number: 11865024
Abstract: Support braces and methods of manufacturing the same are disclosed. A support brace includes a flexible fabric substrate and an elastomeric member disposed on the surface of the flexible fabric substrate. The elastomeric member is disposed so as to apply pressure non-uniformly about a limb or joint of the wearer, in a pattern selected to divert pain and/or reduce loads on the joint. The flexible fabric substrate can include regions having different levels of elasticity, to provide different levels of compression to different parts of the joint or limb in addition to the compression provided by the elastomeric member. The elastomeric member can be deposited, screen printed, injection molded, or otherwise applied to the fabric substrate, optionally without adhesive.

  • Patent number: 11775696
Abstract: Embodiments of systems are disclosed herein to detect tampering and/or provide evidence of tampering without human interaction or oversight. In the disclosed embodiments, tampering is detected and tamper evidence is provided by incorporating at least one tamper-evident assembly and at least one processing device within an enclosure. The tamper-evident assembly includes a tamper-evident fastener having an integrated circuit (IC) chip, which is embedded within the tamper-evident fastener and configured to transmit a data signal through the tamper-evident fastener to the at least one processing device when the tamper-evident fastener is coupled to a surface of the enclosure to secure a point of entry on the enclosure. In some embodiments, the at least one processing device is configured to detect tampering and/or provide evidence of tampering when the data signal transmitted from the IC chip is not received.

  • Publication number: 20230127682
Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods are disclosed to detect tampering and/or provide cryptographic evidence of tampering. Tampering is detected and tamper evidence is provided by incorporating at least one tamper-evident assembly and at least one processing device within an enclosure housing a host device. The tamper-evident assembly includes one or more tamper-evident fasteners, each having an identification chip, which stores a unique identifier corresponding to the tamper-evident fastener and transmits the unique identifier through the tamper-evident fastener to the at least one processing device when the tamper-evident fastener is coupled to a surface of the enclosure to secure a point of entry on the enclosure. The processing device may detect tampering and/or provide cryptographic evidence of tampering when a hash of the unique identifier(s) detected when the host device is in use does not match a hash of the unique identifier(s) detected before the host device is used.

  • Publication number: 20220004832
Abstract: A computing device can facilitate disposal of packaging material. The packaging material can have a product packaged therein. The packaging material includes an identification tag that includes an identifier. A remote computing device reads the identifier from the packaging material and sends a communication that includes the identifier to the computing device. The computing device identifies a location associated with the remote computing device. The computing device determines location-based disposal information for the packaging material that is based at least in part on the location associated with the remote computing device. The computing device send an indication of the location-based disposal information for the packaging material to the remote computing device.
