Abstract: An advertising device and method with an advertising display that comprises a sign holder mounted on the side or top of the vending machine in a position projecting upwardly from the top or laterally from the side so as to extend outwardly from the surface of the vending machine. Each sign holder supports removable print advertising or electronic video display advertising and holds the advertising display in a position facing forwardly toward a location taken by a customer when the customer is located in front of the vending machine. In this way, the customer's primal instinct attracts the customer into proximity to the advertising display and places the customer in a position that facilitates reading the advertising display so as to induce the customer to respond to the advertising display.

Abstract: A serving container for selectively dispensing one of two beverages includes a container body having an upper open mouth at the top and a vertically disposed partition to divide the container body into a pair of laterally disposed left and right compartments to hold two different beverages. The partition has a horizontally disposed sealing edge at the top between the compartments. A removable cover has a cooperating sealing surface adapted to engage the edge of the partition to form a seal that prevents mixing of the contents of the compartments when the cover is secured to the mouth of the container. A pair of selectively operable left and right valves are mounted in the cover to permit a beverage held in a selected storage compartment of the container to flow into either of two separate transfer chambers when a corresponding one of the valves is in an open position.

Abstract: A container for selectively dispensing one of two beverages is includes a liquid holding vessel having an upper open mouth at the top and a vertically disposed partition to divide the vessel into a pair of laterally disposed left and right compartments for two different beverages. A cover is provided to fit within the mouth at the top of the vessel. The partition has a horizontally disposed sealing edge at the top between the compartments. The cover has a corresponding diametrically extending sealing surface adapted to engage the sealing edge of the partition to form a seal to prevent mixing of the contents of the compartments when the cover is in place on the container. Left and right valves are provided in a lower surface of the cover on opposite sides of the seal between the partition and the cover. The cover has an outlet duct so that when one of the valves in the lower surface of the cover is opened the beverage can be dispensed through the outlet duct from a corresponding chamber in the vessel.
