Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for multiplexing a dynamic bit-rate video stream with an audio stream received by a client device in a manner that allows the resulting multiplexed stream to be played back without disruption, despite dynamic changes in the bit rate of the video stream that may occur. A content server may stream both a video stream and an audio stream to a client device for playback. The client device may multiplex the video and audio streams prior to them being presented to a playback engine for decoding and playback to a user.

Abstract: Various computer-implemented methods are provided. One method for sorting defects in a design pattern of a reticle includes searching for defects of interest in inspection data using priority information associated with individual defects in combination with one or more characteristics of a region proximate the individual defects. The priority information corresponds to modulation levels associated with the individual defects. The inspection data is generated by comparing images of the reticle generated for different values of a lithographic variable. The images include at least one reference image and at least one modulated image. A composite reference image can be generated from two or more reference images. The method also includes assigning one or more identifiers to the defects of interest. The identifier(s) may include, for example, a defect classification and/or an indicator identifying if the defects of interest are to be used for further processing.

Abstract: A method of scheduling packets in a mobile communication system includes, in each time period, assigning to each bearer of a terminal, a credit. In each time period for which resources are available, accepting data packets from a bearer in accordance with predefined constraints of priority, buffer content and credit. An accepted data packet size may exceed the available credit by an amount in a predefined range.

Abstract: One or more content providers push data related to: movies, movie products, digital movie content over a network (e.g., a LAN, a WAN, the Internet, or a wireless network) onto an information filling station which, in turn, wirelessly transacts (over a network based on the 802.11b protocol) and transmits any requested data to a portable computer-based device (e.g., laptop, a pen-based computer device, a PDA, a wireless phone, or a pager). The portable device performs financial transactions for: purchasing movie tickets (directly or via auctions), downloading digital entertainment content of interest (e.g., copy of a movie of interest, copy of a movie identified based on a pre-stored profile, copy of soundtrack of a movie of interest), or movie related products. Any purchased digital content is either transferred wirelessly onto the portable device or, optionally, sent on a storage medium to a physical address associated with the profile.

Abstract: A method of packet retransmission in a communications system having a plurality of user devices and at least one network device involves broadcasting a multimedia broadcast multicast service transmission to the plurality of user devices. One or more of the user devices which failed to receive the complete transmission correctly send a request for retransmission to the network device and the network device retransmits requested packets of the original transmission on a different transmission channel to the original broadcast channel.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for initializing a synchronized remote database. A creation module creates a first backup table of a backup database from a schema for a primary table of a primary database. A read module reads each row from the primary table with an application server configured to manage access to the primary database by a database application. A construction module constructs a SQL command for each row of the primary table. Each SQL command inserts data of a primary table row in the first backup table. An application module applies each SQL command to the first backup table to mirror the primary table at the first backup table.

Abstract: An electrical enclosure system for transferring heat from a closed environment, includes an electrical device having a heat-generating part, and a polymer-based ventless housing for protecting the electrical device from environmental contaminants. The ventless housing fully encloses the electrical device and includes a base layer forming an impact-resistant portion of the ventless housing. The base layer includes one or more open areas in close proximity to the heat-generating part. The ventless housing further includes an integrated thermally conductive layer that forms a heat-flow path for conducting heat away from the heat-generating part towards an exterior environment. The integrated thermally conductive layer is molded around the base layer such that portions of the integrated thermally conductive layer cover the open areas of the base layer.

The interferometer includes a beamsplitter for receiving an incoming ray, and transmitting an output ray. The beamsplitter is configured as an optical wedge. Abstract: A method and system for automated accessibility checking of Web pages. The method includes the step of accessing a Web page using a parser to generate data corresponding to the components of the Web page. The data is analyzed using an analysis engine to determine compliance of the components of the Web page with a set of accessibility standards. The results of the analysis performed by the analysis engine are subsequently stored. The results are then provided to indicate a degree of compliance with the set of accessibility standards. The method for automated accessibility checking can be implemented as a hosted application residing on a network connected server.
