  • Patent number: 12550964
Abstract: A helmet visor system may include a helmet shaped to accommodate a headset, a visor lens and a visor apparatus to pivotally move the visor lens between a stored position and a deployed position. The deployed position may be defined as a majority of the visor lens being extended from the helmet, and the stored position may be defined as the majority of the visor lens being occluded by the helmet within an interior of the helmet. The visor lens may be pivotally moveable between the stored position and the deployed position so as not to interfere with the headset.

  • Patent number: 11893538
Abstract: A system and method for capturing and automated processing aerial images of structures to assess structural damage is disclosed. The system comprises a computing system used to obtain images of selected locations associated with known structures at different points in time before and after a natural disaster. The images are used to automatically create three-dimensional models that are used to detect the specific portions of a structure that may be damaged as well as the spatial extent of that damage. In addition, the imagery can be fed into a damage classifier that automatically classifies the degree of damage and generates accurate estimates of repair costs. The system and method may be deployed to quickly assess damage of structures in a disaster area and provide reports of the damage to homeowners and/or insurers.

  • Patent number: 11666112
Abstract: A headborne attachment platform includes multiple rigid plates and straps of connecting material connecting the rigid plates in an assembly at independently selectable and pre-set distances apart from each other. The assembly of rigid plates is shaped and connected to sit adjacent to, and surround, the bone regions of a wearer's skull, and define an overall headgear shape and contour. The straps are more flexible than the rigid plates in directions perpendicular to the thickness of the straps, and the straps are inelastic in a direction of a length thereof. A tightening mechanism is configured to adjust a circumference of a headband region, and the rigid plates have mounting features configured to mount an outer helmet shell and/or a headborne device. The rigid plates are sufficiently rigid to support and maintain their three-dimensional shape when subjected to forces exerted upon them by the outer helmet shell or headborne device.

  • Publication number: 20220404528
Abstract: The invention provides an anti-glare coating of wide bandgap nanostructured oxide material so as to reduce the dazzling reflections of sunlight and avoid light pollution generated by spacecraft. The coating provides selective electrodeposition of a nanostructured wide bandgap oxide material on the metal contact grid on the surface of a solar panel of a spacecraft or a satellite in which the metal contact grid constitutes the cathode, and the resulting nanostructures have a width and spacing less than the wavelength ‘?’ of the incident light or equal to ‘?/n’ with ? located between 180 nm and 8?m, and ‘n’ being the refractive index of the nanostructured material so that for angles of incidence between 0.01 and 90 degrees less than 0.5% of light is reflected.

  • Patent number: 11393680
Abstract: The inventive method provides for a method of p-type doping of Ga2O3 without adding impurity elements. Embodiments allow for significant simplification relative to extrinsic impurity element doping, and thus offers a reduced fabrication cost while being more temperature resistant since the defect dopants require higher temperatures to alter their impact. Certain methods disclosed provide for p-type gallium oxide formation via intrinsic defect doping, without requiring the addition of impurity elements which provide significant simplification relative to the existing state of the art approaches providing more temperature and radiation resistance, while offering a reduced fabrication cost.
