  • Publication number: 20240115446
Abstract: A remotely deployed, inflatable device designed to reduce or eliminate falls in senior living and assisted care facilities. Upon detecting undesired movement, nurses may deploy one or more inflatable cylinders, thereby inflating the device under one or both sides of the mattress, creating a barrier that prevents the resident from exiting the bed until on-site assistance arrives. It is envisioned that initially the operation of the device will rely on the remote monitoring of residents by one or more operators via live camera feeds. In more advanced versions it is envisioned that software and artificial intelligence will be able to use one or more camera feeds and will be able to supplement or even replace the need for a person to monitor any camera feeds.

  • Publication number: 20220143438
Abstract: System and methods of protecting against the spread of fire. A method includes receiving data from at least one sensor. The method determines whether the data satisfies risk criteria for a first zone and/or a second zone of a plurality of zones of a structure. The first zone is associated with a first set of nozzles of a plurality of nozzles and the second zone is associated with a second set of nozzles of the plurality of nozzles. In accordance with a determination that the data satisfies the risk criteria for the first zone and not the second zone, the method provides first instructions to a pump to distribute a fire suppressant from a reservoir via a supply line fluidically coupled to the plurality of nozzles. The method further provides second instructions to a manifold to distribute the fire suppressant via the first set of nozzles and not the second zone.

  • Publication number: 20210208149
Abstract: This invention relates to methods of characterising mammalian cells, e.g. mammalian cancer cells, based on their chemotypic signature. The methods comprise contacting test mammalian cells with a panel of reference compounds, measuring the effect of each reference compound on a phenotypic property of the test mammalian cells to produce a score for each reference compound in the panel, combining the scores to produce a chemotypic signature, and comparing this signature to the signatures of a set of reference mammalian cell lines. This may be useful for diagnostic and prognostic applications, as well as rational drug design, patient stratification, and personalised drug discovery.
