  • Publication number: 20260003742
Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling availability of backup data during restoration of a distributed database system are provided. An external storage system stores a plurality of backup files each comprising backup data and one or more backup metadata files. A plurality of ranges are generated and stored among a plurality of computing devices based on the backup files and metadata files. A plurality of virtual data files are generated and stored in the ranges, where each range of the ranges comprises one or more of the virtual data files, where the virtual data files for a respective range identify physical data configured to be stored by the respective range comprising at least a portion of the backup data of one or more of the backup files. The ranges are configured to serve, based on the virtual data files, a request directed to reading or writing the physical data.

  • Patent number: 12493304
Abstract: A fluid pressure reducing valve apparatus includes a pressure reducing valve. The valve has: a body containing a fluid-flow chamber, a liquid supply orifice into the chamber, a liquid outlet from the chamber, a regulation plate opposed to the orifice, a spring acting to urge the plate towards the orifice, and a diaphragm between the plate and the body to close the chamber between them. A controllable motor drive acts between the body and an end of the spring remote from the plate. A flow meter is positioned downstream of the outlet. A controller is arranged to receive flow data from the flow meter and to control the motor drive for withdrawal of the remote end of the spring in accordance with flow rate measured by the flow meter. For an increase in demand flow, the plate is partially withdrawn to maintain downstream pressure on such increase and vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20250354130
Abstract: RNA-targeting Cas12a2 complex allows for rationale design of Cas12a2 into a versatile enzyme capable of non-specifically degrading distinct types of nucleic acid targets depending on mutations of the active site residues and residues that stabilize bound targets. These mutations allow for tuning of output signal associated with RNA detection. By mutating specific residues, indiscriminate single-stranded RNase and DNase and double-stranded DNase activity can be modified to only cleave single-stranded DNA and single-stranded RNA, or only single-stranded DNA. This allows for diagnostic tools which can provide a detection. Residues involved in binding the non-self vs. self-recognition signal (PFS) can also be modified so larger subsets of nucleic acid targets can be recognized.

  • Publication number: 20250315250
Abstract: A data platform that upgrades applications having containerized services across multiple consumer user accounts when the data platform receives a new version from a provider user. For each consumer account utilizing the application, the data platform performs a series of upgrade operations. The operations include identifying the relevant set of services linked to the application and executing an upgrade command for each service to transition to the new version. The data platform actively monitors the health and version status of each service, ensuring they meet the upgrade criteria. The upgrade is deemed successful and confirmed by the data platform once all services are verified to be healthy and aligned with the new version, thus ensuring a seamless and efficient upgrade experience.

  • Patent number: 12274980
Abstract: Systems and methods directed at removing HCN from an FCC process flue gas (and/or generated in the catalyst system reactions themselves) such that the final HCN output is satisfactory; while, in so doing, avoiding undesirable levels of other pollutants contained in that exhaust gas such as NOx. A system includes an assembly having a fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit generating a flue gas with HCN and NOx and a catalyst device placed in the flue gas line to remove HCN and NOx. The catalyst device having one or more SCR catalytic articles, as in one free of platinum group metal material (PGM) or a dual functioning SCR catalyst with PGM, or a combination of each. The assembly can be provided with an ammonia supplier and optionally an H2O supplier with associated injection for supply into the flue gas upstream of a catalytic article(s).

  • Patent number: 12094667
Abstract: A digital signaling device provides visual, audible, and haptic indicators when the digital signaling device changes state. The digital signaling device has a same operational feel and response as a classic electro-mechanical decorator-style light switch, including maintaining switch paddle position, using attractive magnetic latching in combination with a spring contact. The switch paddle can be pressed into one of two positions, each position representing a different state of the digital signaling device. The switch paddle provides a visual indicator of the digital signaling device state in that the switch paddle is maintained in one of the two positions. The attractive magnetic latching provides both an audible and haptic indicator when the magnet pairs are engaged, which corresponds to a change of state of the digital signaling device. The spring contact provides a digital switching mechanism for changing the state of the digital signaling device.
