  • Publication number: 20230205057
Abstract: An image capture device is described that includes a body; a mounting structure that is connected to the body; an integrated sensor-lens assembly (ISLA) that defines an optical axis and extends through the body and the mounting structure; and an accessory that is releasably connectable to the mounting structure via rotation through a range of motion less than approximately 90 degrees. The mounting structure and the accessory include corresponding angled bearing surfaces that are configured for engagement such that rotation of the accessory relative to the mounting structure creates a bearing effect that displaces the accessory along the optical axis to thereby reduce any axial force required during connection and disconnection of the accessory.

  • Publication number: 20230168933
Abstract: A method of memory deallocation across a trust boundary between a first software component and a second software component is described. Some memory is shared between the first and second software components. An in-memory message passing facility is implemented using the shared memory. The first software component is used to deallocate memory from the shared memory which has been allocated by the second software component. The deallocation is done by: taking at least one allocation to be freed from the message passing facility; and freeing the at least one allocation using a local deallocation mechanism while validating that memory access to memory owned by data structures related to memory allocation within the shared memory are within the shared memory.

  • Patent number: 11639831
Abstract: Cooling a first device and second device in a fashion to produce water. The method includes collecting environmental air from an environment. The environmental air is used to cool a first device. Cooling the first device generates first device exhaust air produced from the environmental air. The first device exhaust air is provided to a first device portion of a heat exchanger. At a second device portion of the heat exchanger, thermally coupled to the first device portion of the heat exchanger, second device exhaust air generated by cooling a second device is received. At the heat exchanger, the first device exhaust air is used to cool the second device exhaust air to a dew point, causing condensed water to be created from the second device exhaust air. The condensed water is collected.

  • Publication number: 20230119954
Abstract: Described herein is a system for responding to a frustrated user with a response determined based on spoken language understanding (SLU) processing of a user input. The system detects user frustration and responds to a repeated user input by confirming an action to be performed or presenting an alternative action, instead of performing the action responsive to the user input. The system also detects poor audio quality of the captured user input, and responds by requesting the user to repeat the user input. The system processes sentiment data and signal quality data to respond to user inputs.

  • Publication number: 20230116629
Abstract: A DNN accelerator includes multiple compute tiles for sharing a workload of running a convolution. A halo pipeline in a compute tile can facilitate replications of halo data from the compute tile where the halo data is generated into another compute tile. The halo pipeline may receive a memory transaction for writing a data block. The halo pipeline may determine that the data block falls into a halo region in an input tensor of the convolution. The halo pipeline may generate a remote address for storing the data block in a memory of the other compute tile, e.g., based on a local address of the data block in a memory of the compute tile. The halo pipeline may adjust the remote address, e.g., based on a difference in dimensions of a tensor to be used by the compute tile and a tensor to be used by the other compute tile.

  • Publication number: 20230106382
Abstract: A device, or a pixel of a device, for filtering of incident radiation includes an array of discrete micro-resonant elements in an encapsulated layer, the encapsulating material having a lower index of refraction than the micro-resonant elements. A highly reflective filtering structure is positioned a first distance above the encapsulated layer and/or a second distance below the encapsulated layer, and is characterized by a stopband. The array of discrete micro-resonant elements is configured to transmit a passband of incident radiation centered around a center wavelength that falls within the stopband of the highly reflective filtering structure, and to minimize a dependence of the center wavelength on an angle of incidence (AoI) of the incident radiation. A pixelated device includes a plurality of pixels, each having an array of the discrete micro-resonant elements tuned to transmit a different passband having a different center wavelength, while minimizing dependence on AoI.
