    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly (100) comprises an elongate insulative housing (1), a contact set (2), a shield (3), and a plurality of cables (6). The housing has a base portion (11) and a plurality of passageways (111) defined in the base portion. The contacts set is assembled into a rear end of the housing. The contact set comprises an insulative insert (21), a plurality of signal and grounding contacts (22) and a grounding bar (23) assembled in the insert. Each contact comprises a mating section (224) extending beyond the insulative insert and received into the corresponding passageways of the housing and a connecting section (226) remained in the insert, and a step section (228) between the mating section and the connecting section so that the mating section is not coplanar with the connecting section. The plurality of cables extends into the insulative insert and is electrically soldered to the connecting sections.

    Abstract: A multi-band antenna includes an insulative substrate (1) carrying a conductive element (2) and a coaxial cable (3). The conductive element includes a first radiating patch (22) resonating at a first frequency band and a second radiating patch (23) resonating at a second frequency band. The first radiating patch is spaced from the second radiating patch by a non-conductive gap (21). The coaxial cable comprises an inner conductor (31) and an outer conductor (32). The inner conductor electrically connects with the first radiating patch. The outer conductor electrically connects with the second radiating patch. The first and the second radiating patches function as grounding means for each other. The multi-band antenna, therefore, has a simple, structure while maintains a wide-bandwidth characteristic.

The second vertical portion of the second grounding shield exerts a pressing force on the second grounding member in the second direction and is circled by the second pulling member.

The guiding frame comprises a pair of guiding beams and a pair of transverse plates interconnecting the guiding beams to define a mating port thereamong. The electrical connector comprises an insulative mating tongue having a mating face and a plurality of passageways defined in the mating face, and a plurality of contacts each comprising a resilient arm received in corresponding passageway and having a contact portion extending beyond the mating face of the mating tongue. The module comprises a daughter card having a mating edge with a plurality of conductive pads on one side thereof. The daughter card and the electrical connector are inserted into the guiding frame with the mating tongue and the mating edge stackedly received in the mating port. The contact portions of the contacts electrically abut against corresponding conductive pads of the daughter card.

The grounding member includes a first grounding shield (60) assembled to the mating portion in the first direction and a second grounding shield (62) assembled to the base in the second direction. The solder slugs melt upon heating the extrusions of the soldering portions to solder the contacts with the wires.

The off-center latch tang is engageably received in an off-center recess (78) of the passageway and the other half of the retention portion is borne by a block (80) of the dielectric housing to prevent the conductive terminal swiveling in the passageway.
