  • Publication number: 20020092843
Abstract: A system, method and apparatus are described for improving critical dimension uniformity in baked substrates. The system, method and apparatus provide for varying the distance between a substrate to be baked and the surface of a hot plate such that an approximately uniform temperature is obtained in the substrate during baking. In one embodiment, the substrate is positioned on a hot plate having a recess generally centered on its top side. The differences in distance between the edges of the substrates contacting the hot plate and the distance between the center region of the substrate and the bottom of the recess enable a generally uniform temperature to be obtained in the substrate.
    Type: Application
    Filed: February 11, 2002
    Publication date: July 18, 2002
Applicant: DuPont Photomasks, Inc., a Delaware corporation

  • Publication number: 20020060196
Abstract: A storage apparatus [(10, 110, 210)] for the storage of a collection of data media in the form of compact discs, CD-ROMs or DVD discs or the like in their original cases [(10)], comprising a number of individual box-like holders [(1, 101, 201)] which can be releasably attached to each other so that the system can be simply expanded to accommodate more compact discs, CD-ROMs or DVD discs in their original cases at any desired location within the storage system. Each holder comprises a base [(2, 102, 202)] and first and second opposing vertical side walls [(3, 4, 103, 104, 203, 204)] which hold a CD case or other case between the side walls.

  • Patent number: 6237936
Abstract: An inflatable restraint system for attachment to an occupant seat of an automotive vehicle has a canister with an inflatable restraint deployable therefrom, a chute member slidably engaged with the canister for directing deployment of the inflatable restraint and movable between a stowed position when the inflatable restraint is uninflated and the deployed position when the inflatable restraint is inflated. Tethers or other retention devices are attached between the canister and the chute member to retain the chute member in a predetermined position with respect to the canister so as to direct deployment of the inflatable restraint in a predetermined direction from the occupant seat.

  • Patent number: 6127605
Abstract: The present invention relates to a Pisum sativum variety that contains a recessive gene called the bsg gene and produces peas that exhibit an elevated level of sucrose and a decreased level of alcohol insoluble solids when compared to peas produced from a Pisum sativum variety that does not contain the bsg gene within its genome.

  • Patent number: 6123360
Abstract: An inflatable restraint system for an automotive vehicle has an inflatable restraint packaged within a module housing in an uninflated state and is operatively connected to an inflator for receiving inflator gas therefrom for movement to an inflated position within the vehicle. The inflatable restraint has a gas reactant substance on an interior surface which is reactive with the inflator gas to prolong inflation of the inflatable restraint in the inflated position at a predetermined pressure.

  • Patent number: 5807752
Abstract: The invention relates to a test system useful in carrying out diagnostic assays. One component of the test system is an unblocked solid phase test carrier with a three dimensional configuration, impregnated with a first binding partner for analyte of interest. The second component of a binding agent containing a second binding partner coupled to an immediately visually determinable label, and a blocking agent. Rapid and accurate assays may be carried out by using the described system.

  • Patent number: 5762363
Abstract: A seamless side inflatable restraint deployment system for an occupant seated in a seat includes a side inflatable restraint module attached to a frame of the seat and having an inflatable restraint, a pad disposed adjacent the side inflatable restraint module having a deployment opening therein, and a tear initiator envelope enclosing the side inflatable restraint module and extending through the deployment opening to concentrate deployment forces of the inflatable restraint to form a desired exit location in a seat trim of the seat for the inflatable restraint to deploy therethrough.

  • Patent number: 5735572
Abstract: A vehicle seat back frame assembly includes a substantially U-shaped frame assembly incorporating a side impact airbag module as a structural, load-bearing component thereof. The substantially U-shaped frame assembly includes a curved top portion having opposing ends and a spacer attached to one of the opposing ends. The side impact airbag module has first and second ends, with the first end being attached to the other of the opposing ends. First and second support members are attached to the spacer and the second end of the airbag module, respectively, for securing the seat back frame assembly in the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4107254
Abstract: A method of lining a pipe with settable material including the steps of arranging the pipe with its longitudinal axis inclined at an angle to the horizontal, introducing a selected amount of liquid material into the pipe at a predetermined rate so that the liquid material flows down along the pipe, shifting the pipe to a horizontal position and spinning the pipe about its axis to distribute the material, spinning continuing until the material has set. The method is particularly applicable for lining pipes with polyurethane. For pipes with end flanges end faces of the lining material can be formed integral with the lining.

  • Patent number: 4101623
Abstract: A method of lining a pipe with thermosetting synthetic plastics material including the steps of arranging the pipe with its longitudinal axis inclined at an acute angle to the horizontal, introducing liquid lining material into the pipe at a predetermined rate for a predetermined time, shifting the pipe to a horizontal position shortly before or at the completion of introduction of the liquid material, spinning the pipe about its axis and blowing hot air axially through the pipe after spinning has started but before the lining material has set thereby to remove entrained air bubbles. The method is particularly applicable for lining pipes with polyurethane, especially pipes with end flanges and covers to form an end face of the lining material.

  • Patent number: 3965555
Abstract: There is described a method of joining a first metallic structural member, which comprises a metallic member having a coating of a heat-degradable material on one surface thereof, to a second metallic structural member which comprises a metallic member, along abutting edges by forming a welded joint between the abutting metal edges of the metallic members in which method the metallic member and the coating of the first structural member are separated along that edge of the first structural member which is to be welded to the second structural member by a heat shield which substantially prevents heat being transferred from the welded joint, during the formation thereof, to the coating.
