  • Publication number: 20100245602
Abstract: A method of removing an artefact from an image captured with a motion invariant camera is disclosed. The captured image is de-blurred using a spatially invariant blur kernel. An edge filter with a fixed offset is applied to the de-blurred image to identify the location of at least one artefact. A parameter is estimated based on a region either side of the identified location. The at least one artefact is removed from the de-blurred image using the parameter.

  • Patent number: 7717646
Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus and a method of deploying a tubular along a predetermined path. The method includes the steps of: coiling a tubular; accommodating the tubular in a deployment unit such that at least a portion of the coiled tubular is biased radially outwardly against the deployment unit; and deploying the tubular from the deployment unit along the predetermined path. The tubular can be deployed in a fluid along a predetermined path by: independently suspending the deployment unit in the fluid; and moving the deployment unit adjacent the predetermined path and simultaneously deploying the tubular along the predetermined path. The apparatus for deploying a tubular can comprise a deployment facilitator for facilitating deployment of the coiled tubular. The tubular can be arranged to feed into the deployment facilitator in use, and the deployment facilitator can be adapted to substantially reverse the coil bend of the tubular.

  • Patent number: 7717025
Abstract: A fluid actuator with fluid limit valves (550, 551) and adjustable mechanical limits enables the construction of fluid linkages which are able to completely replace mechanical linkages. In a fluid circuit comprising of two or more fluid actuators, the pistons (102) of the fluid actuators can become uncorrelated when fluid leakage occurs. At the piston (102) extension and retraction limits, fluid limit valves (550, 551) open. The open fluid limit valves (550, 551) allow fluid to bypass pistons (102) and/or allow fluid from an external source to compensate the fluid leakage. The fluid bypassing pistons (102) at their extension or retraction limit and/or externally supplied fluid forces the uncorrelated pistons (102) to reach their extension or retraction limit as well. The fluid actuator with adjustable mechanical limits have one or more additional pistons (686, 688), which have an adjustable separation from the main piston (102) or end of cylinder.

  • Patent number: 7602895
Abstract: Responding to a telephone call made by a calling party includes receiving a first telephone call and identifying an account associated with the telephone number to which the first calling party directed the first telephone call. Configuration data related to the account is accessed. A first identity associated with the account is identified based on the configuration data accessed. A first electronic communication is sent to a computer of a first called party associated with the first identity. The first called party may respond to the first electronic communication by dynamically and manually inputting a call redirection telephone number, sending an e-mail, or sending an instant message. If a call redirection telephone number is inputted, the first telephone call may be redirected to the call redirection telephone number.
