Abstract: A method of removing an artefact from an image captured with a motion invariant camera is disclosed. The captured image is de-blurred using a spatially invariant blur kernel. An edge filter with a fixed offset is applied to the de-blurred image to identify the location of at least one artefact. A parameter is estimated based on a region either side of the identified location. The at least one artefact is removed from the de-blurred image using the parameter.

Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus and a method of deploying a tubular along a predetermined path. The method includes the steps of: coiling a tubular; accommodating the tubular in a deployment unit such that at least a portion of the coiled tubular is biased radially outwardly against the deployment unit; and deploying the tubular from the deployment unit along the predetermined path. The apparatus for deploying a tubular can comprise a deployment facilitator for facilitating deployment of the coiled tubular. The tubular can be arranged to feed into the deployment facilitator in use, and the deployment facilitator can be adapted to substantially reverse the coil bend of the tubular.

The fluid bypassing pistons (102) at their extension or retraction limit and/or externally supplied fluid forces the uncorrelated pistons (102) to reach their extension or retraction limit as well. The fluid actuator with adjustable mechanical limits have one or more additional pistons (686, 688), which have an adjustable separation from the main piston (102) or end of cylinder.
