Specifically, products such as training pants and diapers are disclosed which contain a carbohydrate-hydrogen peroxide crystalline powder which, when wetted, produces a stream of oxygen which can be used by various bacteria on and near the wearer's skin during metabolism resulting in a significant decrease in the amount of volatile organic compounds produced by the bacteria during metabolism.

Abstract: Novel skin cleansing formulations are disclosed herein. The formulations comprise an anionic particles, microfibers, or compounds which dislodge contaminants from skin through electrostatic interactions. The anionic particles, compounds, or microfibers can easily be incorporated into various products for improved skin cleaning and removal of the contaminant from the skin. The anionic particles do not necessarily kill microbes on the skin, but dislodge them from the skin surface such that they and other contaminants can easily be removed away from the skin by a substrate.

Abstract: The present invention provides fibers, foams, films and nonwoven fabrics having more than one skin treatment benefit and/or improved skin treatment benefit(s) and to products incorporated such fibers, foams, films and fabrics. The present invention also provides a method of forming fibers, nonwoven fabrics, porous films and foams with multiple skin treatment additives that impart a number of skin health attributes.

Abstract: Wet and dry wipes comprising additives for removing allergens from surfaces are disclosed. The wipe substrate comprises an additive capable and binding the allergen onto the substrate such that the allergen can be removed from the surface. Various allergens including animal and pet dander can be removed from numerous surfaces utilizing the wipes of the present invention. In some embodiments of the invention, the allergenicity of the allergen is also reduced. Suitable additives for immobilization onto the wipe substrate include lectins, proteases, and enzyme inhibitors.

Abstract: Absorbent products and wet wipes are disclosed that are useful in reducing the amount of ammonia produced by bacteria on or near the skin or in bodily fluids such as urine. The products described herein contain an osmoregulation protector which when introduced into a bacteria-containing environment interacts with the bacteria and reduces the amount of ammonia produced by the bacteria without significantly affecting the growth rate of the bacteria. The osmoregulation protectors described herein are particularly useful in combination with adult incontinence garments where the control of odors from bacterial by-products such as ammonia is highly desirable.
