Abstract: A system and method for integrated security roles is presented. An upstream application includes one or more role-mapping requirements that correspond to an upstream security role and a downstream security role. The upstream security role is expanded by adding an upstream security role identifier in a downstream application's role-mapping table or by adding upstream user-to-role mappings to a downstream application's role-mapping table. When an upstream security role is expanded, a user assigned to the upstream security role automatically has access to role-mapped downstream applications.

Abstract: A probe contact system is capable of adjusting distances between tips of the contactors and contact targets with simple and low cost mechanism. The probe contact system includes a contact substrate having a large number of contactors, a probe card for fixedly mounting the contact substrate for establishing electrical communication between the contactors and a test system, a stiffener made of rigid material for fixedly mounting and reinforcing the probe card, a probe card ring attached to a frame of the probe contact system for mechanically coupling the probe card to the frame, and a plurality of adjustment members for up/down moving the stiffener relative to the probe card ring at three or more locations so that a gap between the probe card and the probe card ring can be altered.

Abstract: A contact structure for establishing electrical connection with contact targets. The contact structure is formed of a contactor carrier and a plurality of contactors attached to a contactor carrier. The contactors are inserted in diagonal through holes on the contactor carrier and attached to the contactor carrier through adhesives. The contactor has a top end having a flat top surface, a straight diagonal beam integral with the top end and configured by an upper beam portion and a lower beam portion, and a lower end at an end of the lower beam portion to contact with a contact target. A probe contact assembly using the contact structure is also disclosed which incorporates a flip chip bonding technology to interconnect the components therein.

Abstract: A contact structure having contactors formed on a flexible cable establishes electrical connection with contact targets. The contact structure includes a probe card having a plurality of contact pads and signal patterns, a plurality of contactors mounted on a contactor carrier, a flexible cable having a plurality of signal patterns for transmitting electrical signals therethrough. A first end of the flexible cable has a small pitch of the signal patterns while a second end of the flexible cable has a pitch of signal lines which is substantially larger than that of the first end. The first end of the flexible cable is connected to the contactors and the second end of the flexible cable is connected to the probe card.

Abstract: A certain number of agents and tokens are created. A first agent that is assigned a request must obtain a token to process the request. The number of agents which may concurrently process requests are limited by preventing an agent from processing a request unless the agent has an assigned token. An additional agent is created after assigning the token to the first agent, provided that an existing agent is not available to wait for a request, and an unassigned token is available for the additional agent. A certain minimum number of agents is defined and an agent is automatically eliminated when the agent completes a request, provided that the number of agents that are assigned tokens exceeds the minimum number of agents.

A request is received from the client proxy object to access the server target object, wherein the request includes an identification of a type of communication and type of message to be sent to the server target object. A connection object is identified based on the type of communication and the type of message. The connection object implementing the type of communication is returned, wherein the connection between the client proxy object and the server target object is facilitated using the connection object.

Abstract: A system and method for improved electronic security credentials is presented. A client sends a request to a server wherein the request includes a user's identity information. The server authenticates the user using the user's identity information, and creates an authentication credential. The server stores the user's identity information in the authentication credential in the same form as it was received. If the server determines that the request should be sent to a downstream server, the server creates a message and includes the user's identity information in the message. The continued propagation of the user's original identity information preserves the integrity of the user's identity on a server-by-server basis. Each server may map this information to a credential in a way that it chooses based upon the server's underlying authentication mechanism and mapping rules.

Abstract: A security policy process which provides role-based permissions for hierarchically organized system resources such as domains, clusters, application servers, and resources, as well as topic structures for messaging services. Groups of permissions are assigned to roles, and each user is assigned a role and a level of access within the hierarchy of system resources or topics. Forward or reverse inheritance is applied to each user level-role assignment such that each user is allowed all permissions for ancestors to the assigned level or descendants to the assigned level. This allows simplified security policy definition and maintenance of user permissions as each user's permission list must only be configured and managed at one hierarchical level with one role.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include methods, systems and computer program products which provide for a complex policy rule structured in a plurality of levels wherein the complex policy rule selects an action for execution based on a plurality of individual policy conditions. An event is received having an associated value defining a point in a space covered by the individual policy conditions. The following operations are performed if the complex policy rule is a CNF policy rule. A plurality of summary conditions are generated, each of the summary conditions being associated with one of the levels. The associated value of the received event is compared to a selected one of the summary conditions to determine if the selected one of the summary conditions is met.
