  • Publication number: 20250086685
Abstract: An online concierge system assists users in identifying additional information about items in an image. Image regions are identified in the image that may correspond to unknown items and an item search space is determined for detecting items in the image regions based on a context of the image, such as items in a warehouse or a list of items delivered to a customer. The identified items are used to retrieve relevant item information that is included in a prompt for a language model to extract relevant information for the item. As such, the process may automatically process the image into relevant textual information about the pictured items. Applications may be used to assist vision-impaired users in distinguishing delivered items or quickly identifying and evaluating relevant information about items.

Abstract: Methods and systems for use of a reference image to detect a road obstacle are described. A computing device configured to control a vehicle, may be configured to receive, from an image-capture device, an image of a road on which the vehicle is travelling. The computing device may be configured to compare the image to a reference image; and identify a difference between the image and the reference image. Further, the computing device may be configured to determine a level of confidence for identification of the difference. Based on the difference and the level of confidence, the computing device may be configured to modify a control strategy associated with a driving behavior of the vehicle; and control the vehicle based on the modified control strategy.

  • Publication number: 20250087366
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes accessing a window of motion data collected by a motion sensor of a device worn by a user and selecting motion data in the window about or more particular axes of the motion sensor. The method further includes determining a ballistocardiogram (BCG) signal in the selected motion data and determining whether the BCG signal in the selected motion data satisfies a signal-quality metric. If the BCG signal in the selected motion data satisfies the signal-quality metric, then the method includes (1) determining one or more heart-beat metrics of the user from the selected motion data; and (2) estimating, based on the one or more determined heart-beat metrics, a stress condition of the user at a time coincident with the window of motion data.

  • Publication number: 20250061277
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes using a deep learning model to identify topic segments of a communication transcript. A communication transcript including a set of utterances is obtained. The set of utterances is divided into a plurality of utterance windows, wherein each utterance window of the plurality of utterance windows includes a different subset of utterances of the set of utterances, and wherein each utterance of the set of utterances is included in at least one utterance window of the plurality of utterance windows. For each utterance window of the plurality of utterance windows, each utterance in the utterance window is classified as a topic boundary or a non-boundary using a deep learning model. Topic segments of the communication transcript are identified based on utterances of the set of utterances that are classified as topic boundaries. A communication transcript summary is generated using the communication transcript and the identified topic segments.

  • Patent number: 12230266
Abstract: Techniques for routing data, in a system including multiple assistants, are described. A user device may store configuration data for a virtual assistant, where the configuration data includes a virtual assistant identifier, one or more resource identifiers, and optionally a virtual assistant name. A resource identifier may correspond to a component or device(s) of the virtual assistant. When the user device receives event data associated with a virtual assistant identifier, the user device may use stored configuration data to determine a resource identifier(s) associated with the virtual assistant identifier, associated with the event data. The user device may thereafter send the event data to the component and/or device(s) corresponding to the determined resource identifier(s).

  • Patent number: 12228926
Abstract: Aspects of the invention relate generally to autonomous vehicles. The features described improve the safety, use, driver experience, and performance of these vehicles by performing a behavior analysis on mobile objects in the vicinity of an autonomous vehicle. Specifically, the autonomous vehicle is capable of detecting nearby objects, such as vehicles and pedestrians, and is able to determine how the detected vehicles and pedestrians perceive their surroundings. The autonomous vehicle may then use this information to safely maneuver around all nearby objects.

  • Patent number: 12230140
Abstract: Methods and devices for actively modifying a field of view of an autonomous vehicle in view of constraints are disclosed. In one embodiment, an example method is disclosed that includes causing a sensor in an autonomous vehicle to sense information about an environment in a first field of view, where a portion of the environment is obscured in the first field of view. The example method further includes determining a desired field of view in which the portion of the environment is not obscured and, based on the desired field of view and a set of constraints for the vehicle, determining a second field of view in which the portion of the environment is less obscured than in the first field of view. The example method further includes modifying a position of the vehicle, thereby causing the sensor to sense information in the second field of view.
