  • Publication number: 20240392730
Abstract: An internal combustion engine system is described herein. The system uses compressed air from a compressor to purge at least a portion of a fuel from an internal combustion engine. During a purge operation, a controller opens and closes an injector of the fuel to be purged to allow the compressed air from the compressor to push at least a portion of the fuel back into a fuel tank through the injector. The controller deenergizes a fuel pump that pumps the fuel to be purged, allowing the pressure of the fuel that is to be purged to reduce to a pressure that allows the compressed air to flow into the injector.

  • Publication number: 20240395282
Abstract: A device, system, and method whereby a speech-driven system can distinguish speech obtained from users of the system from other speech spoken by background persons, as well as from background speech from public address systems. In one aspect, the present system and method prepares, in advance of field-use, a voice-data file which is created in a training environment. The training environment exhibits both desired user speech and unwanted background speech, including unwanted speech from persons other than a user and also speech from a PA system. The speech recognition system is trained or otherwise programmed to identify wanted user speech which may be spoken concurrently with the background sounds. In an embodiment, during the pre-field-use phase the training or programming may be accomplished by having persons who are training listeners audit the pre-recorded sounds to identify the desired user speech. A processor-based learning system is trained to duplicate the assessments made by the human listeners.

  • Publication number: 20240394751
Abstract: A release generation system assists a user in automatically generating content for distribution to appropriate distribution channels and optimizing the content for increased engagement by those channels. The user may provide a set of core concepts and select a framing such as a tone and/or keywords for the release. A release is automatically generated based on the framing and the core concepts, which may then be modified by the user in view of standards grading. Distribution and recipients of the release may then be selected based on predicted metrics and destination engagement with the release.

  • Publication number: 20240394504
Abstract: A reinforcement learning system is proposed comprising a plurality of property detector neural networks. Each property detector neural network is arranged to receive data representing an object within an environment, and to generate property data associated with a property of the object. A processor is arranged to receive an instruction indicating a task associated with an object having an associated property, and process the output of the plurality of property detector neural networks based upon the instruction to generate a relevance data item. The relevance data item indicates objects within the environment associated with the task. The processor also generates a plurality of weights based upon the relevance data item, and, based on the weights, generates modified data representing the plurality of objects within the environment. A neural network is arranged to receive the modified data and to output an action associated with the task.

  • Publication number: 20240393335
Abstract: A method assessing tissue morphology using machine learning includes a step of training a machine learnable device to predict the status of a diagnostic feature in stained tissue samples. The machine learnable device is trained with a characterized set of digital images of stained tissue samples. Each digital image of the characterized set has a known status for the diagnostic feature and an extracted feature map provides values for a extracted feature over an associated 2-dimensional grid of spatial locations. A step of inputting the set of extracted feature maps is inputted into the machine learnable device to form associations therein between the set of extracted feature maps to and the known status for the diagnostic feature to form a trained machine learnable device. The status for the diagnostic feature of a stained tissue sample of unknown status for the diagnostic feature is predicted from the trained machine learnable device.
