  • Patent number: 10552165
Abstract: Within a processor, speculative finishes of load instructions only are tracked in a speculative finish table by maintaining an oldest load instruction of a thread in the speculative finish table after data is loaded for the oldest load instruction, wherein a particular queue index tag assigned to the oldest load instruction by an execution unit points to a particular entry in the speculative finish table, wherein the oldest load instruction is waiting to be finished dependent upon an error check code result. Responsive to a flow unit receiving the particular queue index tag with an indicator that the error check code result for data retrieved for the oldest load instruction is good, finishing the oldest load instruction in the particular entry pointed to by the queue index tag and writing an instruction tag stored in the entry for the oldest load instruction out of the speculative finish table for completion.

  • Patent number: 10554713
Abstract: The present describes low latency streaming using temporal frame transformation. An execution component in an edge server executes a first instance of an application. A server interface component receives, from a remote server, a resolution delta frame indicating differences between a high resolution first frame and a low resolution first frame of a second instance of the application or, alternatively, receives the high resolution first frame. A video manipulation component generates a motion delta frame by identifying differences between a low resolution first frame and a low resolution second frame of the first instance of the application. The video manipulation component generates a high resolution transformed frame by applying the resolution delta frame and the motion delta frame to the low resolution second frame.

  • Patent number: 10554309
Abstract: A method decodes an optical signal transmitted over an optical channel from a transmitter to a receiver. The method produces, from the transmitted optical signal, a digital signal including received data symbols and received pilot symbols and determines phase noise on the pilot symbols using a statistical probability distribution of phase noise on the optical channel and errors between phases of the received pilot symbols and the transmitted pilot signals. The method estimates phase noise on the data symbols using an interpolation of the phase noise on the pilot symbols and compensates the digital signal with the phase noise on the data symbols to produce a filtered signal with an equalized phase. The method demodulates and decodes the filtered signal to produce an estimate of the transmitted optical signal.

  • Patent number: 10548772
Abstract: A change in the response of the cornea to ultrasonic energy directed into the cornea is monitored during irradiation of the cornea to bring about corneal crosslinking. Because the change in ultrasonic response is correlated with the degree of crosslinking achieved, a desired degree of crosslinking can be achieved by terminating the irradiation when the change reaches a threshold. The change in ultrasonic response can be determined by taking a baseline measurement before irradiation and additional measurements during irradiation using the same ultrasonic transducer (47). The transducers may be carried on a device (30) resembling a contact lens which overlies the eye and which transmits the light used in the irradiation step to the eye.

  • Patent number: 10552526
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a non-transitory machine-readable medium that stores a program executable by at least one processing unit of a device. The program provides, through a graphical user interface (GUI), a tool for creating a field calculation that operates on data defined in a relational data model. The program also receives, through the GUI, the field calculation created using the tool. The program further generates data for a data integration operation based on the field calculation. The program also performs the data integration operation based on the generated data.

  • Patent number: 10549093
Abstract: A peripheral nerve stimulator can be used to stimulate a peripheral nerve to treat essential tremor, Parkinsonian tremor, and other forms of tremor. The stimulator can have electrodes that are placed circumferentially around the patient's wrist or arm. Specific nerves in the wrist or arm can be targeted by appropriate spacing of the electrodes. Positioning the electrodes on generally opposing sides of the target nerve can result in improved stimulation of the nerve. The stimulation pattern may alternate between the nerves. Improved stimulation algorithms can incorporate tremor feedback, external data, predictive adaptation, and long-term monitoring data.
