  • Publication number: 20150095773
Abstract: Described herein are a method and system that has the capability to remotely instruct and guide end users of mobile devices to navigate through its various functions and configurations. The system comprises a repository, a control center, and an intelligent client on the mobile device, where the control center and mobile device operate in a client-server relationship and are in communication during a help session. An administrator uses the system to create step by step navigational instructions called story boards and reference device navigational maps which are uploaded to a repository. The control center pulls the relevant story boards and device navigation maps from the repository and uses it to remotely and interactively direct the end user of the mobile device to navigate through its various applications and functions. An intelligent client on the mobile device is used for assistance in this process, which in turn reports the end user progress back to the control center.

  • Patent number: 8972781
Abstract: Disclosed is a method to enable wireless remote session recovery for a wireless device. Should a wireless device encounter a broken communication link during a virtual mobile management (VMM) operation, a method of automatic session recovery is disclosed which executes from a management console through a communication end-point gateway server in order to reconnect the mobile device. Under control of the session reconnection method, the device client listener and tools of wireless device re-establishes the signal and bearer links with a management console, over the air through the communication end-point gateway server (CEG). The communication utilizing the session recovery algorithm enables the wireless device to receive session information from the communication end-point gateway server, including the respective tools.

  • Publication number: 20140282046
Abstract: Disclosed is a web-based dashboard notification application for real-time presentation and remote management of mobile devices connected to a management console. A method for providing dashboard notifications during a remote control session includes establishing a remote control session between a management console and a mobile device. The management console requests device information and sends the device information to a dashboard execution service. A dashboard model is requested based on the device information, where the dashboard model is a set of workflows. A set of workflows is executed on the device information to verify the device information against predetermined values. The output data model is bound to a view to create a dashboard notification, which is displayed on the management console. • Publication number: 20130067542
Abstract: Disclosed is a connection authorization method with an access privilege transferring algorithm for safely transmitting privilege information between virtual mobile management tool and communication endpoint gateway (CEG) server through embedded stub. Secret Shared Key (SSK) information is shared between the embedded stub and communication endpoint gateway server (namely, session mediation server) through VMM (Virtual Mobile Management) client. A stub that generates access privilege information transfers access privilege information to VMM tool. The stub applies a two-way communication channel between the session mediation server and the VMM tool by joining the generated privilege information and the SSK information to each other, thereby generating protected privilege information with which a third party or hacker who does not know the secret information is not capable of interfering. Exploiting the protected privilege information makes it possible to safely connect authorization with access privileges.

  • Publication number: 20120300649
Abstract: The instant invention is a program applet that can be loaded onto mobile devices and directly interfaces with the operating system and automated test scripts. The program applet is capable of initiating the required transfer and will provide information regarding the progress of the transfer such that a test client can properly calculate the data throughput rates. The result is a minimization of time-to-market for test and measurement tools using software architecture that simplify and speed-up development and maintenance of test and measurement tools by removing awareness of complexity of external hardware dependencies from the actual test and measurement software code, and placing dependencies management to carefully defined components that could be reused and shared between multiple test and measurement software tools and systems at once.
