  • Publication number: 20220129291
Abstract: A system application, such as a cloud tethering subsystem, is instantiated to execute in an embedded environment of a storage system. Errors of the system application that require external support such as memory overflows, daemon errors, etc., are collected and posted using an error reporting system call to an operating system of the storage system in which the virtualized environment is executing. The storage system operating system posts the errors to an error system reporting system as a dial home service request on behalf of the system application. In this manner, the system application can issue dial home service requests without having direct access to the external error resolution system. In some embodiments, a guest operating system utility uses a SCSI mechanism to post errors to the storage system operating system.

  • Publication number: 20220129857
Abstract: A system and method may determine performance data for workers by for example generating or receiving, for a set (e.g. one or more) of workers, computer data describing total scheduled work time for the set of workers for a period or range of time; and obtaining or receiving for the set of workers computer data describing total out of conformance time for the set of workers for the period or range of time. The total scheduled work time for the set of workers for the period of time may have subtracting from it the total out of conformance time for the set of workers for the period of time, to create an intermediate sum. This intermediate sum may be divided by the total scheduled work time for set of workers for the period of time to calculate the non-productive conformance percentage for the set of workers.

  • Publication number: 20220129795
Abstract: Systems and methods for cognitive information mining are provided. A cognitive information extraction system provides intelligent information extraction from documents in different formats, types and forms. Since a huge portion of the data and information is still stored in unstructured documents in physical format, the system provides for a framework to extract information from such documents. Further, even in the digital form, the documents are available in multiple different formats, which can act as a great hindrance to useful extract information. The invention focuses upon mitigating this scenario by combining multiple AI models and modules to create a framework for document processing and human-machine interaction for training and QC verification, wherein the framework provides user the flexibility to work upon multiple types of documents, and also ensures that accuracy is maintained while the information is being extracted.

  • Publication number: 20220129172
Abstract: Architectures and techniques are described that can monitor or track change to storage system configuration. Changes to the configuration that are determined to be statistically significant in potentially affecting and/or causing performance issues of the storage system can be specifically tracked. Such can be accomplished by generating a hash data of the configuration data and sorting that hash data to data buckets based on a similarity score to other hash data of other storage systems.

  • Publication number: 20220129320
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed toward techniques and configurations enhancing the performance of hardware (HW) accelerators. The present disclosure provides a schedule-aware, dynamically reconfigurable, tree-based partial sum accumulator architecture for HW accelerators, wherein the depth of an adder tree in the HW accelerator is dynamically based on a dataflow schedule generated by a compiler. The adder tree depth is adjusted on a per-layer basis at runtime. Configuration registers, programmed via software, dynamically alter the adder tree depth for partial sum accumulation based on the dataflow schedule. By facilitating a variable depth adder tree during runtime, the compiler can choose a compute optimal dataflow schedule that minimizes the number of compute cycles needed to accumulate partial sums across multiple processing elements (PEs) within a PE array of a HW accelerator. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
