  • Patent number: 7937866
Abstract: The automobile display apparatus provides a triangular caution that easily attaches to and detaches from an automobile driven by a new driver. The apparatus, most importantly, attaches without damage to the auto but also insures that detachment is by choice only. The majority of the apparatus is fully flexible, thereby further improving adhesion. The inverted triangle is easily recognized as a cautionary symbol. Part of the reflective indicia is designed to progressively become a recognized symbol for a new driver so that the printed words may be omitted, by choice, in the future. Additionally, the indicia of the young person in the car serve the same purpose as an identifiable symbol to most motorists of a new or young driver. Identifying the driver as new encourages other motorists in the vicinity to be cautious and to also adapt a more courteous posture toward the new driver.

  • Publication number: 20110023682
Abstract: The present invention provides a double bladed spiral slicer including a first and second blade assemblies on a surface, each assembly having a mechanical output and operable to rotate about a vertical axis. A meat rotation assembly, having a headstock and tailstock, is adapted for rotation of a received meat. A processor and controller in communication with the blade assemblies operate to direct the blade assemblies to form a spiral slice on the surface of the meat. The meat product is engaged to the meat rotation assembly where the upper position of the meat product is determined. The meat product is rotated about a vertical axis and the blade assemblies operate by simultaneously reciprocally engaging the meat product and moving vertically from the central position of the meat product.

  • Patent number: 7485382
Abstract: A fuel cell stack antifreeze system that purges a plurality of fuel cell stacks connected in parallel includes a compressor that supplies pressurized cathode gas to each of the plurality of fuel cell stacks. A controller deactivates a first group of one or more of the plurality of fuel cell stacks and maintains operation of a second group of one or more of the plurality of fuel cell stacks. The second group powers the compressor and the compressor purges excess fluid from the first group using the pressurized cathode gas.

  • Patent number: 7472829
Abstract: A payment card comprises an internal virtual account number generator and a user display for online transactions. Offline transactions with merchant card readers are enabled by a magnetic array positioned behind the card's magnetic stripe on the back. The internal virtual account number generator is able to program the magnetic bits encoded in the magnetic stripe to reflect the latest virtual account number. The internal virtual account number generator produces a sequence of virtual numbers that can be predicted and approved by the issuing bank. Once a number is used, it is discarded and put on an exclusion list.

  • Publication number: 20070202568
Abstract: Cleavage site for the protease furin is inserted between domains of a membrane glycoprotein. Upon cleavage by furin in the trans-Golgi network, the protein is separated into individual membrane-free domain that retains its native conformation. This protocol can be used to produce virus membrane protein domains for structural analysis and for trials as vaccines.

  • Publication number: 20070181616
Abstract: A system for hydration has a back pack that holds a bladder with liquids for consumption by the user. The bladder has an intake port for filling and a discharge port connected to a discharge tube to transmit the fluid to a bite valve. A magnet is attached to the bite valve; and a magnet is attached to a buckle on the straps supporting the back pack. The bite valve has a free position remote from the buckle and a stored position in which the magnet on the bite valve is magnetically attached to a magnet on the buckle. The magnet has sufficient force to draw the bite valve to the buckle when the bite valve is proximate the buckle so that a user need not use a hand to unite the bite valve with the buckle.
