Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a processor having a functional slice architecture. The processor is divided into tiles (or functional units) organized into a plurality of functional slices. The functional slices are configured to perform specific operations within the processor, which includes memory slices for storing operand data and arithmetic logic slices for performing operations on received operand data (e.g., vector processing, matrix manipulation). The processor includes a plurality of functional slices of a module type, each functional slice having a plurality of tiles. The processor further includes a plurality of data transport lanes for transporting data in a direction indicated in a corresponding instruction. The processor also includes a plurality of instruction queues, each instruction queue associated with a corresponding functional slice of the plurality of functional slices, wherein the instructions in the instruction queues comprise a functional slice specific operation code.

Abstract: Presented herein are systems and methods for analyzing images of target particles that are bound to a surface of a substrate. In certain embodiments, systems and method described herein utilize techniques that remove background noise from interferometric images of small particles, allowing for increased accuracy in detection and/or characterization of individual particles. Such techniques, as described herein, may allow individual particles having sizes below about 100 nm (e.g., below about 50 nm; e.g., down to 20 nm) to be accurately detected within images, and, among other things, their characteristic sizes measured utilizing, e.g., their contrast.

The plant includes a gasifier, a reformer, a direct contact exchanger and an apparatus for the production of bicarbonate. The plant is suitable for receiving fuel, oxygen, water, carbonate, brine at the inlet and for producing hydrogen, bicarbonate and calcium chloride at the outlet. The plant uses a self-cleaning direct contact heat exchanger to cool the syngas downstream of the reformer and to produce the superheated steam that feeds the gasifier: this heat exchanger allows the production of hydrogen at low costs and in modular plants.
