  • Patent number: 6659291
Abstract: An anti-theft security device locks to a display board such as pegboard or slatboard to prevent the removal of the device from the display board and to prevent rapid removal of merchandise hanging from the device. Hooks are inserted in holes in the display board to connect the base of the device to the display board. The base includes an outer member and an inner member from which a pair of parallel rods extend outwardly away from the display board. The outer member is locked to the inner member to lock the device to the display board. The end assembly may pivot about one rod to an unlocked position to allow an employee to rapidly load items of merchandise onto the device.

  • Patent number: 6604643
Abstract: A bottle security device includes an inner member and an outer member that cooperate to lock the bottle security device on the neck of a bottle. The inner member includes a plurality of fingers that are adapted to fit under the bead on a bottle neck. The inner member further includes outwardly extending teeth. The outer sleeve member of the device slides over the inner member and forces the fingers against the bottle. The outer sleeve member further includes a plurality of upwardly extending arms that have inwardly projecting teeth that engage the teeth of the inner member to lock the two members together. A key is used to separate the two pieces and release the security device from the bottle. The key extends down through the top of the outer sleeve member to physically engage the upwardly extending arms and to move them radially outward to where they disengage the inner member.

  • Patent number: 6412631
Abstract: A storage container for holding an item of recorded media includes a base; an outer wall extending upwardly from the base, the outer wall having an upper surface adapted to receive the lower surface of item adjacent the outer diameter of item. The storage container also includes a retaining hub that extends upwardly from the base. The retaining hub includes a plurality of hinged arms and fixed supports. A retaining lip is carried by the hinged arms. The retaining lip engages the upper surface of the item in a storage position and is moveable inwardly and downwardly to release item. Retaining lip also engages the lower surface of item to lift item from the storage container. The fixed supports include an upper surface that remains in position during the removal of item to provide support to item to substantially prevent bending forces from damaging item.

  • Patent number: 6354435
Abstract: A storage container for an item of recorded media includes a centrally disposed hub surrounded by and spaced from an outer wall. The hub includes a pair of resilient arms that cooperate to loosely but securely retain an item of recorded media having a centrally disposed inner hole. The hub includes a first support platform that includes a plurality of raised bumps that essentially frictionlessly support the item of recorded media from below. The outer wall includes a second support platform that also includes a plurality of bumps that supports the item of recorded media from below about its outer periphery. The outer wall also includes a blocking wall that extends above the outer edge to prevent the user from grasping the outer edge of the item of recorded media. The outer wall further contains a finger access hole that extends through the blocking wall that allows the user to grab the edge of the item of recorded media in a selected position that is aligned with the arms of the hub.
