Patent number: 7100783Abstract: A bottle security device includes an inner member, an intermediate member and an outer member that cooperate to lock the device on a bottle neck. The inner member includes a plurality of fingers adapted to fit under the bead on a bottle neck. The intermediate member slides over the inner member and forces the fingers against the bottle. The intermediate member includes a plurality of upwardly extending arms with inwardly projecting teeth that engage outwardly extending teeth on the inner member to lock the inner and intermediate members together. A key unlocks and rotates a rotatable member to separate the intermediate and inner members to unlock the device. Upon rotation of the cover cap, camming surfaces on the rotatable member engage the upwardly extending arms to move them radially outward to disengage them from the inner member.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 2005Date of Patent: September 5, 2006Assignee: Alpha Security Products, Inc.Inventor: Dennis D. Patent number: 7007523Abstract: A bottle security device includes an inner member, an outer member and a cap member that cooperate to lock the bottle security device on the neck of a bottle. The inner member includes a plurality of fingers that are adapted to fit under the bead on a bottle neck. The cap member and the outer member are connected to form an enclosure therebetween which houses a locking mechanism. The outer sleeve member of the device slides over the inner member and forces the fingers against the bottle neck. Pins are connected to the inner member and extend into the locking mechanism to lock the inner and outer members together when the inner member is inserted in the outer member. A magnetic key is used to separate the two pieces and release the security device from the bottle. The key attracts a portion of the locking mechanism to disengage the mechanism from the pin.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2005Date of Patent: March 7, 2006Assignee: Alpha Security Products, Inc.Inventor: Dennis D. Patent number: 6789667Abstract: A storage container for an item of recorded media includes a centrally disposed hub surrounded by and spaced from an outer wall. The hub includes a pair of resilient arms that cooperate to loosely but securely retain an item of recorded media having a centrally disposed inner hole. The hub includes a first support platform that includes a plurality of raised bumps that essentially frictionlessly support the item of recorded media from below. The outer wall includes a second support platform that also includes a plurality of bumps that supports the item of recorded media from below about its outer periphery. The outer wall also includes a blocking wall that extends above the outer edge to prevent the user from grasping the outer edge of the item of recorded media. The outer wall further contains a finger access hole that extends through the blocking wall that allows the user to grab the edge of the item of recorded media in a selected position that is aligned with the arms of the hub.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2002Date of Patent: September 14, 2004Assignee: Nexpak CorporationInventors: Dennis D. Publication number: 20040163977Abstract: A security storage container has a primary security feature that is adapted to be locked and unlocked with an appropriate key. A secondary security feature is activated when the security storage container is opened without first unlocking the lock with the key. In one embodiment, the secondary security feature includes prongs that are moved to an extended position when the primary security feature of the container is defeated. In the extended position, the prongs will at least damage the item of merchandise protected by the security storage container. The extended position of the prongs may also further lock the item of merchandise within the security storage container.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 21, 2003Publication date: August 26, 2004Inventors: Nicholas M. Patent number: 6754939Abstract: An EAS tag holder includes a first member and a second member are hinged together between open and closed positions. In one embodiment of the invention, the holder includes a pin that pierces a portion of the item of merchandise to lock the holder to the item of merchandise. In other embodiments, the holder clamps itself to the item of merchandise. The holder is removed from the merchandise by cutting the hinge of the holder and sliding the first and second members apart. In another embodiment of the invention, the first and second members of the holder are held together by locking fingers that may be released with a specially-designed key so that the holder may be reused. In another embodiment of the invention, the holder is opened with a key that breaks the locking fingers to release the members from each other.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2001Date of Patent: June 29, 2004Assignee: Alpha Security Products, Inc.Inventors: Dennis D.
