Abstract: A system associated with a first tower in a wireless network receives, at the first tower, tower lists generated by other towers that are nearby the first tower. The system further authenticates each of the received tower lists, and identifies ones of the nearby towers as rogue towers based on failures to authenticate respective ones of the received additional tower lists. The system also broadcasts a tower black list that lists the identified rogue towers to the nearby towers and to nearby mobile devices.

Abstract: An approach is provided for retrieving mapping information of a premise for use by a mobile device upon the mobile device reaching the premise. A prompt is generated for presentation by the mobile device for a destination point within the premise. A determination is made of the position information of the mobile device. Navigation information for guidance to the destination point is generated using the mapping information and the determined position information. Presentation of the navigation information is initiated via the mobile device.

Abstract: A system for adapting a legacy system to a new environment includes a method of learning the behavior of a legacy system and a method for replacing a legacy system. Learning the behavior of a legacy system includes gathering information with respect to inputs, outputs, and internal function of the legacy system; defining from the gathered information a set of behavioral rules describing the legacy system; and testing the rules by applying known inputs to the legacy system and verifying that the legacy system responds as predicted by the rules. Replacing a legacy system includes monitoring legacy system responses to legacy system inputs; defining a set of rules describing behavior of the legacy system based on the responses to the inputs; comparing actual legacy system responses to responses predicted by the set of rules; and using the set of rules to create a replacement system that mimics the legacy system.

Abstract: At least one business rule is received that specifies at least one template to be used in generating a code file. A configuration file is generated that identifies a location of the at least one template. The at least one template is retrieved and parsed to generate a question file that indicates at least one tag in the at least one template. User input is obtained concerning a value that relates to the at least one tag. The code file is generated by replacing the at least one tag in the template with the value.

Abstract: A set of inbound data is received in a computer. At least one attribute of the inbound data is determined. The inbound data is parsed. A set of staging records is generated in the computer that include at least some of the inbound data in one or more fields included in each of the staging records. It is determined that at least some of the staging records are ready for migration to a target environment. The staging records are migrated to the target environment in the computer.

Abstract: An approach is provided for a messaging interface between applications and a user. A plurality of messages associated respectively with a plurality of programs is stored in a common message database according to timing information corresponding to the messages. A subset of the messages is retrieved based on the timing information. The subset of messages is filtered based on message type. The filtered messages are output to a non-visual communication program for presentation of the filtered messages.

Abstract: A system includes a source database storing a targeted source code having references to hard-coded configuration information. A converter is in communication with the source database and is configured to replace the hard-coded configuration information in the targeted source code with soft-coded configuration information. A method includes searching the targeted source code for references related to hard-coded configuration information, receiving new reference names for the references, each of the new reference names corresponding to at least one of the references and being related to soft-coded configuration information, and replacing the references related to hard-coded configuration information with the corresponding new reference name to generate a targetless source code with the soft-coded configuration information.

Abstract: A system comprises a processing device, a data store selectively connected to the processing device and configured to store a plurality of segments of a software application, and a code refactoring application included on the processing device. The code refactoring application may include instructions that when executed cause the processing device to receive at least a subset of the segments of the software application from the data store, determine a design structure for the segments based at least in part on the received segments, and refactor the segments into a refactored segment according to the determined design structure.
