    Abstract: A control circuit for controlling multi-level buck converter. The multi-level buck converter has N pairs of switches, and N is an integer equal to or greater than 2. The control circuit has a comparing circuit comparing a voltage feedback signal with a reference signal to generate a comparing signal, a selecting circuit receiving the comparing signal to generate N set signals, and N COT controllers. The N set signals take turns to change from inactive state to active state at each rising edge of the comparing signal. Each of the N COT controllers receives output voltage signal, input voltage signal and one corresponding set signal of N set signals to generate a corresponding control signal to control the corresponding pair of switches to perform a complementary on and off switching.

The transformer has a primary winding and secondary winding, wherein the primary winding is coupled to the modulation stage to receive the bipolar PWM voltage. The de-modulation stage is coupled to the secondary winding of the transformer and configured to convert the voltage across the secondary winding of the transformer into an AC output voltage with the first frequency.

An output voltage of the isolated resonant converter is controlled by the analog comparator within a predefined range. The second ON/OFF signal is electrically isolated from the first ON/OFF signal. The primary pulse width modulator controls the switching of the isolated resonant converter in response to the clock pulse signal during the logic high state of the second ON/OFF signal and stops the switching of the isolated resonant converter during the logic low state of the second ON/OFF signal.
