  • Patent number: 8116969
Abstract: A method is disclosed in which traffic flows are equalized. In at least one embodiment, this is achieved by virtue of road users receiving individual route recommendations from a traffic control computer in such a manner that the traffic control computer uses reports from road users and route segment parameters to determine, for each route branch point, a new respective distribution ration for the statistical frequency of the respective route recommendations at a respective route branch point at particular intervals of time, a route being allocated a higher frequency in the case of more favourable traffic conditions, and in such a manner that a respective road user receives, before a respective route branch point, a random route recommendation from the set of alternatively possible routes in accordance with the statistical frequency of the respective route recommendations.

  • Patent number: 7830274
Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention improves traffic safety in the field of aviation and in the field of shipping, and also in road traffic. In at least one embodiment, a method achieves this by determining at specified intervals a current position and a current direction, retrieving geographical description data for at least one exclusion zone or one danger area from a control center and from this data, by way of a warning condition, issuing at least one warning message, provided the warning condition has been fulfilled. In at least one embodiment, the warning condition is selected in such a way that intrusion into the at least one exclusion zone or one danger area can be securely prevented by way of an appropriate counter maneuver.

  • Patent number: 7039521
Abstract: A method and device is for displaying driving instructions. The aim is to achieve a better consistency between the image recorded of the surrounding terrain by the vehicle camera and presented in the driver's field of vision, and the keyed-in calculated driving instruction. For this purpose, the inclination of the vehicle about its longitudinal axis and lateral axis relative to the road surface as well as the incline of the road or the three-dimensionality of the terrain are taken into consideration when a keyed-in driving instruction from the angle of view of the driver is produced.

  • Patent number: 5596751
Abstract: When a user program is processed on a parallel computer system, individual processes of the user program are executed concurrently on different processors. The situation may arise here that a first process requires data generated by a second process. The first process must then wait during processing until the second process makes this data available. In order not to extend the program runtime when translating such a user program, the instructions of a first process that access data generated by a second process open result cells in a memory area that is locked for the user mode, in which the data generated by the second process is then entered. During the processing of the user program after the translation for the parallel computer system, all instructions with memory access are examined to determine whether the addressed memory location is a result cell in the locked memory area.

  • Patent number: 5381547
Abstract: In contrast to previous methods, for example for LISP systems, a central function caller with its complex status inquiries is not required, since a data structure with a link header is provided, to which directly executable execution code is always chained. Depending on the type of function and depending on the respective status of a definition of the program element, it is possible to provide here as execution code an error interface for undefined functions, a simulator interface for functions to be simulated, an interpreter interface for functions to be interpreted or a compiled program section for already compiled functions. As a result of dispensing with the status inquiries, it is possible to achieve considerable acceleration of the program execution, in particular for LISP systems, in which a function call often occurs for usually only short function operations.

  • Patent number: 5279183
Abstract: According to an illustrative example of the invention, a flywheel is screwed to a crankshaft by a central bolt. The flywheel and the crankshaft are further provided with radially extending teeth in opposite annular contact faces. These teeth are engaged such as to center the flywheel with respect to the crankshaft and to permit torque transmission between the crankshaft and the flywheel. An angular positioning pin of the flywheel engages into a pin receiving bore of the crankshaft.

  • Patent number: 5174008
Abstract: To enable prescribed functional values of pressure plate units of motor vehicle friction clutches to be observed with smaller tolerances than hitherto, it is proposed that a housing-spring component initially be pre-assembled from clutch housing (1) and diaphragm spring (7) and that this component be measured together with a master pressing plate. Geometry (diameter 25 and axial height 27) which is optimum for minimum tolerances of a contact bevel 15 is calculated by means of the measured result, and a pressing plate (13) with this bevel geometry is produced. The measured spring-housing component is finally assembled together with this specially produced pressing palte 913).

  • Patent number: 4811826
Abstract: The friction clutch comprises a flywheel and a clutch cover which encloses a clutch disc and a presser plate pressed by a clutch main spring through the clutch disc against the flywheel. The clutch cover is fixed axially on the flywheel after the style of a bayonet catch. For this purpose the bayonet catch comprises interengaging radial projections on the flywheel and tabs which form ring groove sections on the clutch cover. The fixing of the clutch cover in the radial direction and in the circumferential direction is effected by resilient clamp elements.

  • Patent number: 4640398
Abstract: In a friction clutch for motor vehicles the pressure plate is connected to the clutch housing for common rotation about the common axis by a plurality of leaf springs which are tangential with respect to the common axis of the clutch housing and the pressure plate. The clutch housing has a predetermined direction of rotation which results from the sense of rotation of the combustion engine which is to be connected by the respective frictional clutch to the gear box of the motor vehicle. The leaf springs have--with respect to the predetermined direction of rotation--a leading end portion and a trailing end portion. The leading end portion of all leaf spring elements are fastened to the pressure plate and the trailing end portions of all leaf springs are fastened to the clutch housing.

  • Patent number: 4619354
Abstract: The pressure plate for a motor vehicle friction clutch comprises a clutch cover, a non-rotatable but axially displaceable presser plate and a diaphragm spring which is supported in the region of its external circumference on the presser plate and on a smaller diameter on the clutch cover. Securing elements retained on the clutch cover pass through openings of the diaphragm spring and hold the diaphragm spring between the two wire rings, of which the wire ring placed on the side of the presser plate is axially undulated. The regions of the wire ring which form undulation crests in relation to the diaphragm spring extend below the support faces of the securing elements. A projection is formed by bending or as additional part on the wire ring and fixes the wire ring non-rotatably.

  • Patent number: 4616744
Abstract: In a friction clutch unit the axial travel of the presser plate with respect to the clutch housing is axially limited. The presser plate is connected for common rotation with the clutch housing by a plurality of tangential leaf spring elements. These leaf spring elements allow axial travel of the presser plate with respect to the clutch housing, when the clutch housing is separated from the respective driving disc. A main spring is provided which is supported on the clutch housing and acts onto the presser plate. This main spring urges the presser plate away from the clutch housing. In order to restrict the travel of the presser plate under the action of the main spring stop elements are provided axially between the spring elements and the clutch housing and tangentially between the two ends of the respective leaf spring elements, namely nearer to that end of the respective leaf spring element which is fixed to the clutch housing.
