    Abstract: In a holding device and a motor vehicle including such a holding device for gas cylinders, comprising a frame formed by two longitudinal members interconnected at opposite ends by cross-members and supporting a first gas cylinder mounted to the longitudinal members by straps extending around the first gas cylinder, a profiled support rail is disposed on each of the straps and has a first profile fitting the first gas cylinder and at the opposite side a second profile for accommodating a second gas cylinder which is also mounted by straps to the support rail offset sidewardly so that the two cylinders are disposed laterally displaced to facilitate accommodation thereof adjacent an inclined rear seat back wall in the trunk of the motor vehicle.

    Abstract: A closure for a filling tube of a motor vehicle with a swivel closure cover is arranged outside of a center opening of the filling tube in the tank and pivots around a swivel axis positioned in a plane perpendicular to the center axis of the opening. The closure is pre-stressed by a spring in a direction counter to the insertion movement of a filling pipe of a fuel supply nozzle. The closure is supported on a lower surrounding opening edge of the opening in the closed position to form a seal. An upstanding swivel facilitating element that can be contacted by the filling pipe is arranged on the closure. The closure cover is swiveled in a force-saving manner as a result of this swivel facilitating element.

    Abstract: In an arrangement for limiting the fill level in a fuel tank having a filler neck with a tank inlet end, a valve flap is pivotally supported in the inlet end such that, in an open position, the valve flap is pivoted toward the fuel flow entering the tank during refueling and is connected, by way of a crank arm and a coupling rod to a float which is disposed in an essentially vertical guide tube. The coupling rod extends through the float and has spaced top and bottom stops providing for lost motion coupling between the float and the coupling rod whose weight is sufficient to keep the valve flap in an open position. When the fuel in the tank lifts the float and, after the float engages the top stop, lifts the coupling rod, closing movement of the valve flap is initiated which is then fully closed by the inflowing fuel utilizing the lost motion distance between the float and the bottom stop of the coupling rod.

    Abstract: A device for robotizable refuelling of a vehicle includes a docking component which can be installed on a filling tube of a fuel tank of the vehicle for receiving a pistol nozzle, in which the pistol nozzle can be locked, in axial and peripheral directions, and which has a central passage for a fill pipe of the pistol nozzle. The device contains a hollow cylindrical ring carrier element provided with a central passage fastened on an underside of the docking element. A locking ring provided with radially projecting bayonet arms is held against torsion but axially moveable on the ring carrier element. A compression spring is braced between the underside of the locking ring on the one hand and a connection of the ring carrier element. The device can be installed on the edge of the filling tube, which is provided with recesses for passage of bayonet arms of the locking ring at an inlet side to form a bayonet lock.

Allocated to one tank part is an accumulation vessel and to the other tank part is a fuel distributor which is connected to a fuel return line. Two feed lines which convey fuel into the accumulation vessel are connected to the distributor. Integrated into one feed line is an ejector which is provided in the bottom region of the tank space having the distributor. Interposed in the other feed line is an ejector which is provided in the tank part having the accumulation vessel. For the purpose of being able to connect the feed lines to the fuel distributor and accumulation vessel quickly and easily, the fuel tank has a respective tank opening which can be tightly closed by them.

    Abstract: A fuel lock as part of a venting arrangement for fuel tanks has to ensure that when the fuel tank is on its side, particularly after a lateral rotation of 270.degree., only a legally tolerated fuel quantity can flow out from the vent conduit. The fuel lock has an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber separated from the former by a partition and communicating with its chamber by a connecting conduit. The inlet chamber is connected to a surge tank of the fuel tank by an inlet conduit and the outlet chamber is connected to a vent conduit. In the inlet chamber, the inlet conduit and connecting conduit mouthpiece openings within the chamber and, in the outlet chamber, the connecting conduit and outlet conduit mouthpiece openings within the chamber are located relative to one another such that in the syphon conduit formed by these conduits and passing through the chambers, in each case a break point for the syphon effect is present within the chambers.

    Abstract: A valve device is disclosed for an aeration and air evacuation pipe leading away from a motor fuel tank. In a known valve device for aerating and evacuating air from a motor fuel tank, a positive pressure valve is provided, the closing force of which is generated by a compression spring which is braced against its valve element. This closing force generally corresponds to the positive pressure value of a water column of 300 to 400 mm. Such a positive pressure valve is therefore unsuitable for aeration and air evacuation devices in which the required positive pressure value is very low, only approximately 80 mm WG for example, for safety and functional considerations, and correct functioning of the valve element of the positive pressure valve is required to be ensured even at low temperatures.
