  • Patent number: 5092358
Abstract: A pressure regulator whose initial pressure can be set by manually setting the initial stress of a control spring has a double-seated valve with an inner and outer valve seat and a valve closing element. The valve closing element divides a supply pressure chamber from a control pressure chamber and the latter from a pressure-relief chamber. The inner valve seat is arranged on a control piston which is loaded by the control spring. In order to set a higher initial pressure, the initial stress of the control spring is increased, in order to reduce pressure, the initial stress of the spring is diminished. During this process, the outer or inner valve seat lifts off temporarily from the valve closing element until equilibrium is reestablished by a corresponding pressure chamber and the double-seated valve closes.

  • Patent number: 4949428
Abstract: A closing clip for sausage casings and the like, formed from a metal strip which is to be bent round the gathered casing end and of which the bearing surface resting against the casing end contains a friction-increasing impression. The impressions are provided so as to cover essentially the entire area.

  • Patent number: 4927276
Abstract: A pocket cage formed from a deformable sheet has a pair of side rings connected by a plurality of webs, each web having a projection comprising a folding of web material formed by bending at a plurality of bending points. At least the material in the middle of each web has reduced resistance to bending relative to the material in areas of each web other than the bending points. This folding is produced by applying opposing pressing forces on the front faces of the side rings using a tool. By placement of the middle bending point on either the outer surface or the bore surface of the web, the projection can be suitably selected to be radially inwardly or outwardly directed respectively.

  • Patent number: 4827976
Abstract: In a vacuum distributor box with a suction connection and several vacuum connections, all the vacuum connections are equipped with non-return valves open only when vacuum lines are inserted, both the seals of the box housing itself and the those of the vacuum lines relative to the box housing and the valve sealing seats of the non-return valves being incorporated in a diaphragm seal clamped on all sides between two housing parts.

  • Patent number: 4700453
Abstract: The invention concerns a lathe which is designed as a processing center and with which other working processes can be carried out in addition to turning work. The tool post (5) contains a processing turret (9) which can be rotated around a vertical axis as well as secured at various angles. The processing turret is equipped with a spindle unit (that can be powered) 11 to hold the tools and has at least one holding fixture (13) for temporary attachment of tools or working units. For tool exchange purposes the tool magazines (14, 15) are placed on the lathe; these allow for a quick exchange of tools and/or tool units. The lathe according to the invention allows a complete working of basic cylinder shapes and--based on retooling and transportation time alone--makes superfluous several machine tools which can perform only one work operation.

  • Patent number: 4660811
Abstract: A spring according to this invention has a core of an elastically deformable but substantially incompressible material and having two axially spaced end surfaces operatively engageable with objects to be relatively resiliently mounted. Thus when the two bodies engaging the end surfaces move toward each other the core swells radially. An annular belt formed of an elastic synthetic resin snugly surrounds the core between its ends. The belt can be lapped or can be a single unitary ring. It may also be formed of a plurality of independent layers having ends provided with a heat-shrunk clip for securing the ends together. To soften the initial spring characteristic the belt is corrugated and has peaks engaging the core and valleys normally not engaging the core. The corrugations may run longitudinally or transversely.
