  • Publication number: 20240003064
Abstract: An autoleveller draw frame includes a drafting system having a plurality of roller combinations. A drive unit configured with the plurality of roller combinations has a main motor that drives a first roller combination at a constant main rotational speed. A regulating motor regulates a rotational speed of a second roller combination wherein, due to the regulation, the rotational speed of the second roller combination is changeable from a basic rotational speed into an autolevelling speed. The basic rotational speed depends on the main rotational speed and the autolevelling speed is independent of the main rotational speed, wherein the drafting of the fibrous web is adjustable. The regulating motor is drive-independent of the main motor to drive the second roller combination at the autolevelling speed according to an electrical signal that is based on the main rotational speed.

Abstract: An elastic cleaning lip for cleaning a rotating roller of a drafting system of a textile machine includes a wiping edge configured at one longitudinal side of the cleaning lip. A mounting element is at an opposite longitudinal side of the cleaning lip and is configured to mount to a support element. The cleaning lip has a Y-shaped cross section having a stem and two essentially parallel legs, wherein the wiping edge is arranged at an end of the stem and the two legs form the mounting element for a form-locking mounting of the cleaning lip to the support element. The support element includes retainers at opposite longitudinal ends thereof and a mounting strip having lateral faces and top and bottom end faces arranged between the retainers. The lateral faces and the top end face are configured for the form-locking mounting with the cleaning lip.

  • Publication number: 20120261504
Abstract: A process is provided for preventing ribbon windings when cross-wound bobbins are wound in random winding on a textile machine. The thread from a thread guide is traversed over a double stroke. The traversing frequency of the thread guide is continuously varied during the bobbin travel within a predetermined deviation range around a nominal frequency. A random stringing together of individual interference patterns is generated by a random generator by selecting a target value for the traversing frequency from the deviation range for every interference pattern. The traversing frequency is adjusted by a control device on the selected target value.

  • Publication number: 20050029387
Abstract: In order to drive a spool on a textile machine, a friction roll is provided, having a rotating body, carrying at least one friction ring. This friction ring is designed in the manner of a belt with two, open ends that are clasped together by two connectors. The two connectors, when linked together, form a releasable end fastening apparatus. The two connectors exhibit in this linkage, interlinking hooks. The fastening apparatus for the friction ring ends can serve simultaneously as a ring fastener to the friction roll. Further, the friction ring can be affixed, at a distance away from the two open ends, onto the friction roll with additional fasteners, which are uniformly distributed around the circumference of the friction roll. The two connectors and/or the friction ring exhibit a preselected radius of curvature which adapts to the radius of curvature of the outer circumference of the friction roll.

  • Publication number: 20020135133
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sealing unit for the rotor housing of an open-end rotor spinning device with a floatingly supported sealing disk. The invention has its application in particular for the reworking of open-end rotor spinning devices. The sealing unit (1) has a bearing plate (10) with a bore (4) that is surrounded by a sealing rim (11) which interacts with a sealing disk 2. The latter is held on the bearing plate (10) by means of an elastic element (3) and is supported in vertical direction by a stop (5, 32).

  • Patent number: 6195974
Abstract: The instant invention relates to a process and to a device for automatic introduction of a fiber sliver into a textile machine equipped with a feed mechanism. The end of the fiber sliver is brought into a defined receiving position in which it is introduced into the feed mechanism. A predetermined length of the end of the fiber sliver is seized. The sliver is then shortened to a second predetermined length and is then introduced into the feed mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5927061
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process to piece a yarn (2) to an open-end spinning device (1), in which a plurality of handling devices (4) on a service unit (3) traveling alongside a plurality of identical open-end spinning devices (1) execute different work motions and in which a yarn end is taken over by a presentation device (31) and is conveyed to the open-end spinning device (1), and is then returned into same for piecing. In this process all the handling devices (4) go through a joint motion phase and if necessary through an individual motion phase. To carry out this process the handling devices (4) are mounted on a common bearing device (5) which can be moved back and forth between at least two work positions (I, II) by means of a drive arrangement (50) controlled by the control device (6).

  • Patent number: 5906332
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for the transfer of a thread (1) carried in a low pressure air stream being delivered to a rotating spool (7) with which a capture apparatus (4) runs in synchronism for the pick-up of the thread (1) which is set before it by a thread dispensing unit for this purpose. This thread dispensing unit exhibits two thread guides (31, 30) which hold the thread (1) at right angles to the travel path of the capture apparatus (4). Respectively, the first thread guide (31) forms a hold-back element which acts to restrain the thread (1) during the formation of a reserve winding in the spool border and to release the thread (1) for the formation of the normal winding. This first thread guide (31) is governed by a controllable drive (33), with the help of which, the open side of a thread guide groove (312) of this first thread guide (31) is pivotable out of a thread restraining position (S.sub.1) into a thread release position (S.sub.2).
