  • Publication number: 20060131374
Abstract: A calculator with a retractable and extendable padded area to support the user's wrist. The padded area is mounted atop a sliding surface such that the padded area and sliding surface may be extended from a hollow compartment space in the calculator housing located below the operative electronics. When use of the pad is not desired, it retracts into the calculator housing and is secured in the housing by a hinged door. While the pad may be constructed of a number of materials, a gel substance encapsulated within the pad would perform well. The outer surfaces of the calculator and extendable surface, having relatively smooth surfaces, are also well-suited for application of art work, logos and graphics for advertising and promotional purposes.

  • Publication number: 20060133220
Abstract: A self righting device wherein two or more displays on which graphical or numerical information may be displayed. The self righting mechanism incorporates an eccentric weight whereby the viewer may rotate the housing of the device to view the information visible n a second display face and upon release of the housing, the self righting feature causes the housing to reorient such that the original display face which was facing the viewer is once again in its original position. The device may also incorporate antifriction bearings at each of its axial pivot points such that the rotation of the housing with respect to the stand is smooth and easy.

  • Publication number: 20060124382
Abstract: An audio enclosure for a receiver unit of radio or other audio signal source use which is specifically designed to fit into a corner and provide sound quality which is improved by such corner placement. The envelope and angularly displaced speaker output location geometry featured in the invention provide an enhanced stereophonic sound quality which fills the room or other space with perimeter emanating sound having richer and fuller sound quality, particularly in the lower frequency ranges. In addition, the generally round cylindrical envelope enclosure shape of the invention is such that it fits more tightly into a corner or recess than conventional square, trapezoidal or rectangular shaped radio enclosures. The outer surfaces of the enclosure, having relatively smooth surfaces, are well-suited for application of art work, logos and graphics for advertising and promotional purposes.

  • Publication number: 20060124651
Abstract: A beverage container having at least two curved sides which meet at rounded lengthwise edges, having improved pouring and liquid flow characteristics, which may be used with a sealed lid and is capable of being tightly nested with other like shaped containers. The container also presents increased and improved outer surface areas, which more readily facilitate commercial or advertising graphic imprinting. The container comprises an inner and outer shell with the outer shell and may further include a snug fitting lid to facilitate the use of the container for travel.

  • Publication number: 20060127160
Abstract: An improved hand-held implement is provided with a body having external surfaces that define contours which match and ergonomically engage the surfaces of a user's thumb and fingers when the user grasps the implement, so as to provide a large surface area of contact between the user's hand and the implement. The increased area of contact between the user's hand and the implement, compared to traditional designs, decreases the required level of applied unit area pressure, and also provides for greater control consequently facilitating manipulation of the implement. The exterior of the implement is sufficiently small so that, while in use, the body of the implement does not extend outside or beyond the hand of the user. The cartridge includes a coaxial retention ring device which readily fits into the body of the implement by the resilient engagement of the ring into the coaxial recessed groove in the implement body.

  • Publication number: 20060126431
Abstract: A hot or cold beverage container with an integral stirring device. The design of the stirring container is of a shape and size whereby it readily fits into the beverage container orifice located in the passenger compartment of most, if not all motor vehicles. The beverage container also provides an excellent advertising means as graphical or advertising material may be imprinted on its surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20060121787
Abstract: The invention is a recharger device having an efficiently designed base charging unit and at least one rechargeable handheld implement, which also serves as an advertising means. The base unit has two electrical prongs on the rear surface and at least one orifice on at least one outer surface of the base unit, each of which lies completely within the surface where it lies. The base unit is shaped and the electrical prongs are positioned and oriented such that when the recharging base is inserted into one socket of a common two socket electrical outlet, the second socket is not blocked by the base unit, thereby permitting both sockets to be fully utilized.
