Publication number: 20240118911Abstract: Some embodiments provide a novel method of deploying a secondary cluster of one or more service machines to a public secondary cloud to provide a service to supplement a primary cluster of service machines that provide the service in a primary cloud. The method receives a set of one or more user-defined criteria to use to deploy the secondary cluster in the public secondary cloud. After receiving the set of user-defined criteria, the method detects that the secondary cluster is needed to supplement the primary cluster. The method retrieves previously collected data about different public clouds that are candidates for the deployment of the secondary cluster. Based on the set of user-defined criteria, the method analyzes the previously collected data to select for the deployment a particular candidate public cloud as the public secondary cloud. Then, the method deploys the secondary cluster in the selected particular public cloud.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2022Publication date: April 11, 2024Inventors: Manu Dilip Shah, Nikhil Kumar Yadav, Tilak Bisht, Sooraj Tom, Satyajit Panda

Publication number: 20230121953Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for regulating a system rail voltage of a battery charger is described. An integrated circuit can be configured to detect a condition that requires an activation of a trickle charge mode of a battery charger. The integrated circuit can, in response to the detection, set a reference voltage to an intermediate voltage level. The reference voltage can control a system rail voltage of the battery charger, and the intermediate voltage level can be greater than a minimum of the system rail voltage. The integrated circuit can reduce the reference voltage from the intermediate voltage level to the minimum system rail voltage to regulate the system rail voltage at a predefined rate.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 22, 2022Publication date: April 20, 2023Applicant: Renesas Electronics America Inc.Inventors: Mehul Dilip SHAH, Sivaprakash KANNAN, Yang LI, Xiwen ZHANG

Patent number: 7790103Abstract: A medical fluid machine, such as a dialysis machine, includes a pump that pumps a medical fluid and sterile water or other disinfecting liquid, such as ozonated water, for flushing and reconditioning the medical fluid machine. The machine may also include a heater that heats the medical fluid or disinfecting solution in order to kill bacteria and other microorganisms that may contaminate the machine after use. Disinfecting the machine, and a disposable kit used with the machine, may allow re-use of the disposable within a reasonable amount of time after completion of the disinfecting procedure. Dialysate treated with ultra-violet light or water with low concentrations of ozone also helps make the disposable kits suitable for reuse.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 2007Date of Patent: September 7, 2010Assignees: Baxter International Inc., Baxter Healthcare S.A.Inventors: Dilip Shah, Douglas Reitz, Samuel Ding, Meir Dahan, Gino Cicchello, John A. Publication number: 20100100402Abstract: A system and method for price setting based on environmental impact whereby the environmental impact of a product and/or service is determined based on defined parameters. An environmental impact of a given product and/or service is also determined for various levels of consumption of the given product and/or service. An environmental impact goal is then established for the given product and/or service. An environmental impact goal level of consumption of the given product and/or service is then determined that will yield the desired environmental impact goal. An environmental impact goal price-point for the given product and/or service that will yield the environmental impact goal level of consumption that, in turn, will yield the desired environmental impact goal is then determined. The price of the given product or service is then set at the environmental impact goal price-point for the given product and/or service using one or more of various price setting mechanisms.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2008Publication date: April 22, 2010Inventors: Rupesh Dilip Shah, Benjamin Weiss, Todd M.
