  • Publication number: 20230195498
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method of enforcing a set of access policies on traffic exchanged between remote clients and virtual desktop applications. This method receives and stores access policies that define access to different virtual desktop applications by remote clients. To a set of one or more access gateways remote, the method forwards client requests to launch virtual desktop applications. The method analyzes responses provided by the gateway set to virtual desktop requests, and based on this analysis, creates records that identify the virtual applications that will be launched. The method passes the gateway responses back to the remote clients, and upon receiving traffic to the identified virtual applications from the remote clients, (1) uses the created records to identify the virtual applications associated with the received traffic and (2) applies the access policies associated with the identified virtual applications to the received traffic.

  • Publication number: 20230111167
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed to provide recommendations based on sensor data. The system may include a dynamic customer profile data store that contains electronic records. Each record may be associated with a customer and include a customer identifier and a value for each of a set of customer traits derived from sensor data. A data envelopment analysis platform may access information about a first customer from the dynamic customer profile data store and utilize data envelopment analysis to calculate efficacy scores for the set of customer traits. A recommendation engine may then generate a customer recommendation for the first customer based on the values of each of the set of customer traits and the efficacy scores. Information about a customer action associated with the customer recommendation may be fed back to the data envelopment analysis platform.

  • Patent number: 11625189
Abstract: Storage devices can be configured to utilize one or more memory buffers located within a host-computing device. These host buffers may allow for faster access to some data, including control pages. However, host buffers are susceptible to fragmentation issues similarly to standard user memory arrays. As the data stored within the host buffers becomes more fragmented, performance can suffer. This performance loss in storage devices becomes more pronounced as the desired performance levels of these storage devices increase. Therefore, various methods and systems described herein manage fragmentation within host buffers by conducting one or more operations. These operations may include locating a continuous portion of allocated or unallocated memory within the host buffer and either swap or copy high-usage or high-priority data to those continuous portions. When continuous portions of host buffer memory are not available, relevant portions of data may be cashed within the storage device to increase performance.

  • Patent number: 11627470
Abstract: Techniques for asymmetric dynamic spectrum sharing are discussed herein. A first portion of spectrum can share spectrum between Long Term Evolution (LTE) and New Radio (NR) radio access technologies (RATs). A second portion of spectrum can be allocated to a particular RAT without sharing. Thus, control signals associated with both RATs can be associated with the shared portion. However, for the portion not shared, control signals for the particular RAT (e.g., NR) can be used without the control signals from the other RAT (e.g., LTE), thereby increasing capacity in the portion not shared.

  • Publication number: 20230108457
Abstract: The invention discloses systems (100) and methods (200, 300) for reducing the effect of even-order harmonics in supply voltage on the DC side components in AC-DC converters having any kind of controlled power electronic switches or their combinations. The method involves modifying the time of firing the various switches (112, 114) through a control logic arrives at through either measuring or estimating the DC bus voltage or the input AC voltage. The proposed control methods are useful in ASDs where full bridge configuration is used for AC to DC conversion. The proposed control may also be used in ASDs where a half bridge rectifier system is used. The proposed method reduces the stress on the DC bus capacitor and increases the lifetime of the capacitor. It further reduces the peak current through the device, which reduces stress on the rectifier components. It also reduces the Total Harmonic Distortion (THDi) of the line current.

  • Publication number: 20230102892
Abstract: Software architectures relating to machine learning (e.g., relating to classifying sequential text data. Unlabeled sequential text data may be produced by a variety of sources such as text messages, email messages, message chats, social media applications, and web pages. Classifying such data may be difficult due to the freeform and unlabeled nature of text data from these sources. Thus, techniques for training a machine learning algorithm to classify unlabeled text data in freeform format. Training is based on generation of labelling functions from lexical databases, applying the labelling functions to unlabeled text data in an unsupervised manner, and generating trained classifiers that accurately classify the unlabeled text data. The trained classifiers may then be implemented classify text data accessed from the variety of sources. The present techniques provide high-quality and efficient labeling of unlabeled text data in freeform formats.

  • Patent number: 11604735
Abstract: Aspects of a storage device are provided that allow a controller to leverage cache to minimize occurrence of HMB address overlaps between different HMB requests. The storage device may include a cache and a controller coupled to the cache. The controller may store in the cache, in response to a HMB read request, first data from a HMB at a first HMB address. The controller may also store in the cache, in response to an HMB write request, second data from the HMB at a second HMB address. The controller may refrain from processing subsequent HMB requests in response to an overlap of the first HMB address with an address range including the second HMB address, and the controller may resume processing the subsequent HMB requests after the first data is stored. As a result, turnaround time delays for HMB requests may be reduced and performance may be improved.
