    Abstract: The disclosure discloses a method for preparing biochar from Enteromorpha prolifera and use of the biochar. The method includes: subjecting Enteromorpha prolifera to lyophilization, then impregnating lyophilized Enteromorpha prolifera with phosphoric acid, and drying to a constant weight; grinding a dried mixture in a mortar, and then subjecting a ground sample to activation treatment in a tube furnace at 400° C. to 1,000° C. under a nitrogen atmosphere; and boiling an obtained solid product with concentrated hydrochloric acid, then washing with ultrapure water, and drying to a constant weight to obtain Enteromorpha prolifera biochar. The biochar is used in adsorption of cadmium. The method for removing cadmium using Enteromorpha prolifera biochar provided by the disclosure exhibits an extremely high adsorption and removal capacity for cadmium, with an adsorption capacity of biochar up to 250 mg/g or more.

In some examples, a substrate is received having a source/drain feature disposed on the substrate. The source/drain feature includes a first semiconductor element and a second semiconductor element. The first semiconductor element of the source/drain feature is oxidized to produce an oxide of the first semiconductor element on the source/drain feature and a region of the source/drain feature with a greater concentration of the second semiconductor element than a remainder of the source/drain feature. The oxide of the first semiconductor element is removed, and a contact is formed that is electrically coupled to the source/drain feature. In some such embodiments, the first semiconductor element includes silicon and the second semiconductor element includes germanium.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for securing software installation through deep graph learning includes extracting a new software installation graph (SIG) corresponding to a new software installation based on installation data associated with the new software installation, using at least two node embedding models to generate a first vector representation by embedding the nodes of the new SIG and inferring any embeddings for out-of-vocabulary (OOV) words corresponding to unseen pathnames, utilizing a deep graph autoencoder to reconstruct nodes of the new SIG from latent vector representations encoded by the graph LSTM, wherein reconstruction losses resulting from a difference of a second vector representation generated by the deep graph autoencoder and the first vector representation represent anomaly scores for each node, and performing anomaly detection by comparing an overall anomaly score of the anomaly scores to a threshold of normal software installation.

The analysis is based on a series of statistical computations for conducting hypothesis tests to compare population means, while ensuring LDP for each user. For example, an LDP scheme is used on the client-side that privatizes a measured value corresponding to a usage of a resource of the client. A data collector receives the privatized data from two sets of populations. Each population's clients have a software application that may differ in terms of features or user group. The privatized data received from each population is analyzed to determine an effect of the difference between the software applications of the different populations.
