  • Patent number: 7615248
Abstract: Provided are a method for preparing a blue-emitting BAM phosphor which includes: surface-treating phosphor particles with metal oxide nanoparticles, and a blue-emitting BAM phosphor prepared by the method. The blue-emitting BAM phosphor exhibits better dispersibility and flowability in coating slurry without undergoing a reduction in initial brightness, thereby providing less color variation at ends of a BLU lamp. The blue-emitting BAM phosphor can be directly applied in a currently available method of manufacturing a BLU lamp, and when mixed with existing red and green phosphors, can remarkably reduce color variation at ends of a lamp. Therefore, the quality of a BLU lamp for large-scale displays can be greatly improved.

  • Publication number: 20060234362
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new process for the preparation of optically active alcohols represented by the general formula 2 and their esters represented by the general formula 3 in scheme 1. In more detail, this invention relates to the process for the preparation of optically active alcohols and their esters which are used as pharmaceutical intermediates by reacting the hydroxyl group stereospecifically by lipase after adding racemic alcohols represented by the general formula 1 and succinic anhydride as an acylating agent to the organic solvent. According to this invention, the primary hydroxyl group of 1,2-diols is transformed by other functional group and the secondary hydroxyl group is esterified stereospecifically with succinic anhydride as an acylating agent.

  • Patent number: 6847160
Abstract: A color cathode-ray tube has an optimum funnel structure so that it has a slim tube structure while reducing stress caused by its internal vacuum pressure. The color cathode-ray tube satisfies a relation of 0.12×L?<S<0.27×L? where “L” represents a length from a seal line, where a panel and a funnel are sealably coupled together, to a yoke line of the funnel in an axial direction of the tube, “L?” represents ½ of the length of the seal line, “A” represents ½ of a seal stress adjustment line formed by connecting points spaced apart from the seal line by a distance of “L×0.67” toward the yoke portion, and “S” represents a difference between “L?” and “A”. The cathode-ray tube of the present invention has an optimum funnel structure capable of providing an effect of reducing the high stress conventionally generated around the seal line and yoke line by 25% and 53%, respectively.
