The outer closure includes a diaphragm member disposed along the distal end surface of the outer closure. The diaphragm member is inwardly directed and contacts the inner closure member thereby biasing the outer closure member into an operationally disengaged position.

The fluid dispenser also includes a dispensing portion that extends from the main body. The dispensing portion defines a passage therethrough that is in fluid communication with the vessel. The passage terminates at a dispenser opening through which the fluid exits the passage and flows into the mouth of the subject. Moreover, the fluid dispenser includes a tongue depressor that extends from the dispensing portion. The tongue depressor is operable to depress the tongue of the subject while the fluid is dispensed into the mouth of the subject.

The bottle may include: 1) a rounded top portion engaged with or adjacent to a sidewall portion, 2) a base portion engaged with or adjacent to the sidewall portion, 3) a conical flange engaged with or adjacent to the base portion, and 4) a neck portion engaged with or adjacent to the conical flange. Additionally, the bottle may include a non-round cross-sectional shape. The tip insert may engage with the neck portion of the bottle. The tip insert may also have a nozzle with a nozzle passageway with an opening. The cap may cover the tip insert and the neck portion. The bottle assembly may also include first and second sealing structures within the cap.

The breakaway portion reveals an aperture in the tip portion upon removal of the breakaway portion. Finally, a valve member is slidably disposed in the tip portion such that the valve member can be movable in response to fluid pressure and/or manual force application to urge the substance within the tip portion out of the aperture as a controlled dose.

Abstract: A container assembly including a container and a cap disposed on the container. The cap is moveable between a closed condition and an open condition. The cap has two opposing side wall regions and an end region disposed between the two opposing side wall regions. At least one of the side wall regions has a container-engaging portion moveable between a closed position where the container-engaging portion engages the container to resist opening of the cap, and a second position where the container-engaging portion is disengaged from the container to allow opening of the cap. The end region of the cap is in a snap-fit relationship with the container. Also included is a cap having these features.

Further, the applicator may include an extension which extends radially from the main body in an area proximate to where the handle meets the tip and a breakaway section including an elongated sleeve which extends in a direction perpendicular to at least a portion of the tip and extends from the extension in an area proximate to a terminal end of the extension. Further, the elongated tip may extend from the handle in an area proximate to where the extension extends from the main body.
