  • Publication number: 20240142553
Abstract: An electromagnetically shielded electronic assembly is disclosed in which electromagnetic shielding and filtering is provided to prevent unwanted radiofrequency energy, generated from an electric device residing within the assembly, from radiating externally. The electronic device resides within a primary shielded region and is coupled, through a filter, to an external electrical conductor that extends externally from the shielding. The filter resides within a secondary shielded region that is electromagnetically shielded from the primary shielded region, with the filter electrically contacting the electromagnetic shielding within the secondary shielding region.

  • Publication number: 20230329655
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for delivering images to a patient before and/or during a medical procedure in which a patient is translated on a table relative to a gantry. In various example embodiments, images are projected to the patient while preserving the projected field size during table motion, thereby potentially reducing patient anxiety by providing a more immersive patient viewing experience. In some embodiments, the projected field size is maintained by a display system that is secured to the table such that both a projector and a projection screen are fixed relative to the table, and relative to the patient, during translation of the table. In some example embodiments, a reduction in patient anxiety may be achieved by projecting images as virtual images that are perceived by the patient as residing at a depth that lies beyond the confined spatial region in which the patient resides.

  • Patent number: 11601742
Abstract: The present disclosure provides communication systems and devices for use in noise environments, such as during magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In some embodiments, a communication headrest is provided that consists of a headrest that supports a patients' head, an optional bone conduction microphone, and one or more vibration actuators. The headset makes contact with noise-isolating earplugs worn by the subject such that vibrations generated by the vibration actuators are transferred through the earplug, via acoustic conduction, to enable the patient to hear audio content while the earplugs provide passive noise protection by occluding the ear canal.

  • Publication number: 20230068443
Abstract: An example method for dynamic packet routing using prioritized groups includes: receiving, by a processing device, routing information specifying a plurality of paths to a network destination, wherein each path is associated with a respective cost metric value; associating a first subset of the plurality of paths with a first priority routing group for the network destination, wherein each path of the first subset satisfies a first cost criterion based on a cost metric value of the path; associating a second subset of the plurality of paths with a second priority routing group for the network destination, wherein each path of the second subset satisfies a second cost criterion; and storing, in a forwarding information data structure, a first definition of the first priority routing group and a second definition of a second priority routing group.

  • Publication number: 20220409149
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing and reducing the severity or impact of a collision involving an apparatus secured to a table associated with a medical imaging and/or therapeutic gantry. Example systems are provided in which an apparatus is secured to the table such that a distal region of the apparatus extends beyond a longitudinal end of the table. A pivot joint associated with the apparatus is provided such that when a collision between the distal region of the apparatus and an object occurs due to motion of the table, the resulting force causes the apparatus to rotate relative to the pivot joint, thus passively accommodating the applied force and preventing, or reducing the likelihood of, mechanical buckling of the apparatus in the presence of the force. In some example embodiments, the apparatus is configured to rotate and/or translate as a result of the force applied during the collision.

  • Publication number: 20220399932
Abstract: Systems and devices are provided in which an RF wireless bridge is employed to facilitate indirect transmission of communication signals between external devices located outside of an electromagnetically shielding enclosure within internal devices located within the enclosure, via the intermediate transmission of RF waves through an RF attenuating window forming a portion of the enclosure. The wireless bridge is formed from a first RF communication device located within the electromagnetically shielding enclosure, and a second RF communication device located outside of the enclosure, where the two RF communication devices are positioned with sufficient proximity such that the wireless bridge facilitates indirect communication through the RF attenuating window despite attenuation of RF energy by the RF attenuating window.

  • Patent number: 11174108
Abstract: A transfer module for a universal sorting conveyor has a ball belt looped around two pulley assemblies mounted to a frame and driven in a machine direction. Two bi-directional cross-belt assemblies are mounted to the frame to provide two smooth surfaced belts each supported on a roller bed. The belts extend beneath and engage the ball belt to advance a conveyed parcel in the cross direction. Each cross belt assembly has internal motorized drive rollers at the ends and a multiplicity of closely spaced idler rollers of smaller diameter than the drive rollers which define the roller bed, with a spacing between the idlers rollers of less than one inch. The ball belt has a plurality of plastic link bodies pivotally connected to one another, each with a downwardly opening socket having downwardly facing entry notches which allow distortion of the socket for entry of a ball therein.

  • Patent number: 10526179
Abstract: A portable lifting apparatus is provided. The apparatus has a modular frame comprising a first frame member and a second frame member, which in combination support a load-bearing beam having a lifting device secured thereto above a lifting surface. The first frame member, the second frame member, and the lifting device are each removably secured to the beam such that the apparatus may be disassembled into constituent components for transport or storage. Each frame member may be configured to disassemble into constituent components comprising a base and two or more support rails. The apparatus may further comprise a counterbalance. The counterbalance may serve to balance load distribution when the apparatus in use and act as a storage receptacle for the first and second frame members, the beam, and the lifting device when the apparatus is disassembled.

  • Patent number: 10351353
Abstract: A conveyor has looped conveying belts extending between grooved inlet and outlet rollers mounted to a frame, these rollers driven by motorized drive rollers. Each belt has an outwardly facing surface which engages a conveyed article, and an inwardly extending protrusion which engages the grooves of rollers rotatably mounted between parallel plates. The plates extend downwardly to be fixed to cross members which extend between the sides of the frame. A subframe supports upper rolls which are driven by belts connected to lower rolls, including motorized drive rolls. The subframe is mounted to an elevator platform to move the upper rolls between a retracted position and an extended position in which the upper rolls extend beyond the conveying belts which pass through gaps between the upper rolls, such that a conveyed article is moved by the upper rolls in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the conveying belts.
