  • Publication number: 20100047610
Abstract: In a food processing line, the equipment which is likely to fragment on breakage contains magnetically susceptible particles which are separated from the food by a magnetic separation stage. When the equipment is a starch carrying tray, the moulding mix contains 5-50% of magnetic filler, such as magnetite. Reinforcement with glass fibre and jute fibre modifies the compositions for moulding the trays. Moulding mixes based on polypropylene and thermosetting resins are described. A processing line using starch trays has a conveyor for food items and a conveyor for the starch in which the food items are moulded. Both have magnetic separators.

  • Patent number: 7573228
Abstract: An apparatus for managing input power between a passenger bridge and a battery charger includes a power distributor, a current monitor and a controller. The power distributor receives input power and outputs power to the passenger bridge and the battery charger. The current monitor measures current drawn by the passenger bridge and the battery charger to provide a signal to the controller indicative of the power consumption of the passenger bridge and the battery charger. The controller adjusts the output power setting of the battery charger in response to the power consumption of the passenger bridge and the battery charger by reading the output power of the battery charger, comparing the power consumption of the passenger bridge and the battery charger to a predetermined operating threshold to determine whether an overthreshold condition exists, and modulating the battery charger output power setting in response to the overthreshold condition.

  • Publication number: 20090096124
Abstract: A method of producing an immersion nozzle for continuous casting, which includes integrally molding a first zirconia-graphite compound applied to a powder-line portion of the nozzle, and a second compound applied to at least an inner hole portion of the nozzle. The second compound includes 10 mass % or more of clinker particles each containing CaO as a mineral phase, and the surface of at least a part of the clinker particles is subjected to an anti-hydration treatment, such as a heat treatment to be performed under a CO2 atmosphere to convert CaO to CaCO3. The method can suppress volume expansion caused by the reaction between CaO and water released from resin added as binder, so as to prevent the occurrence of cracks during a burning process of the molded piece.

  • Patent number: 7269135
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing redundant network connectivity across a network using a tunneling protocol by dynamically moving a TLS tunnel between master and slave switches based on relative connectivity provided by the switches are disclosed. A standby routing protocol executes on the master and slave switches to monitor the relative connectivity. In response to detecting that the relative connectivity of the slave switch exceeds that of the master switch, the standby routing protocol reverses the roles of the master and slave switches, thus moving the TLS tunnel to the new master switch.
