  • Publication number: 20240060315
Abstract: A magnetic conveyance system comprising a support structure having a ferromagnetic capacity and a trolley moveable upon the support structure in a plurality of directions. The trolley may include a trolley frame and at least one attractor cell disposed on the trolley frame. The at least one attractor cell may comprise a housing and at least one magnet, at least one friction reducing load spreading device, and a load transfer member disposed within the housing. The magnet may provide a magnetic attraction force between the trolley and the support structure. The friction reducing load spreading device may comprise a plurality of bearing balls circulating within a reservoir and a channel formed by the load transfer member disposed within the housing. The load transfer member may also include a bearing surface wherein a portion of the plurality of bearing balls is disposed between the bearing surface and the support structure.

  • Patent number: 11286489
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a composition that includes an amphiphile, its use in a method of preventing and/or treating cancer, and its use in a method of producing a pharmaceutical composition. In certain embodiments, the amphiphile includes a hydrophilic peptide that binds to a Plenty of SH3 domain (POSH) and inhibits or disrupts a POSH scaffold network, a hydrophobic moiety, and an aptamer. The present invention is also directed to other POSH inhibitor complex biomolecules that do not contain a hydrophobic moiety.

  • Patent number: 10806956
Abstract: A victim retrieval apparatus for use with a vehicle. In some embodiments, the rescue basket comprises one or more wheels. The articulating head of the boom comprises a rotatable pulley for receiving the rescue line and is able to allow the vehicle to be parked in any position necessary while rescuing the victim. A knot-passing pulley enables a safety line (with emergency brake device) to be coupled to the basket thereby ensuring the safety of the victim in the basket at all times. The rescue basket comprises a remote control for controlling the winch speed that is able to be located at the winch itself, or be of a hand-held nature and attached at the rescue basket instead of at the vehicle if visual contact is problematic.

  • Publication number: 20050178142
Abstract: An insulated cryo-pack is provided for sustaining and protecting a material, having an inner container, a plurality of dry ice pellets and an outer container. The material is disposed and sealed within the inner container. The dry ice pellets are disposed in the outer container with a thickness of at least 2 inches thick on all sides of the inner container. Preferably, the dry ice pellets is filled in a barrier bag disposed in the outer container. The barrier bag assumes the interior contour of the outer container. The barrier bag includes an open top extending over the height of the outer container. When the inner container is disposed in the outer container, the open top of the barrier bag is folded over the inner container and secured by a tape with a width of about 2 inches.

  • Patent number: 6527194
Abstract: A damper including a pair of damper members movable with respect to each other is disclosed. Each damper member has at least one wall correspondingly inclined to an axis of the damper. The inclined walls are relatively movable between open and closed positions. The walls include plural apertures separated by imperforate portions. The apertures in each wall are disposed such that the apertures of one of the damper members are at least partially blocked by the imperforate portions of the other damper member when the inclined walls are in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 5773598
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for producing chimeric nucleic acid molecules with two or more functionalities. A chimeric library is generated in which individual chimeric molecules combine the functions or characteristics of two or more parent libraries, each parent library having been selected through the SELEX procedure for a specific function or feature. The chimeric molecules of this invention are useful in a variety of ways, including having improved affinities for a target molecule, enhancing assembly of multi-component molecules, and promoting reactions between two molecules.
