  • Publication number: 20070295758
Abstract: A manually operated trigger sprayer includes a feature that limits the forward pivoting movement of the trigger. By limiting the forward pivoting movement of the trigger, the novel construction of the trigger sprayer prevents the trigger from engaging against the nozzle assembly attached to the sprayer housing of the trigger sprayer and potentially dislodging the nozzle assembly from its attachment to the trigger sprayer housing.

Inventors: Donald Foster, Philip Nelson, Walter Clynes
  • Publication number: 20070295757
Abstract: The present invention pertains to the construction of a manually operated trigger sprayer in which the sprayer housing has a reduced diameter dimension liquid discharge passage to increase the velocity of liquid flow through the liquid discharge passage, and in which the nozzle assembly has a novel configuration that securely attaches the nozzle assembly to the sprayer housing to prevent the increased velocity of liquid flow through the sprayer housing liquid discharge passage from dislodging the nozzle assembly from the sprayer housing. The novel construction of the sprayer housing and the nozzle assembly includes a resilient crossbar provided on the sprayer housing that crosses over the liquid discharge passage and a pair of resilient flanges on the nozzle assembly that engage over opposite sides of the sprayer assembly crossbar and securely attaching the nozzle assembly to the sprayer housing.

  • Publication number: 20070290005
Abstract: A trigger sprayer has a venting apparatus with a unique construction that is formed by the combination of a sprayer housing of the trigger sprayer and a plug seal assembled to the sprayer housing. The plug seal includes a dip tube connector, a valve seat, an annular rim seal, and a portion of the air vent baffle apparatus that are combined as one integral piece.

  • Publication number: 20070215646
Abstract: A connector cap of a trigger sprayer is integrally formed with the sprayer housing of the trigger sprayer. The connector cap has a flexible cylindrical sidewall of varying thicknesses that enables the cap to be flexed and snap fit on a bayonet-type connector of a bottle neck by pressing the cap downwardly onto the bottle neck. The different thicknesses of the sidewall allow portions of the sidewall to flex, while maintaining a smooth, cylindrical exterior surface appearance of the sidewall.

  • Publication number: 20070181606
Abstract: A manually handheld and operated trigger sprayer has a novel shroud configuration that provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance to the component parts of the trigger sprayer and also provides a pad on the shroud that provides a comfortable feel to the user's hand holding the trigger sprayer in addition to enhancing the appearance of the trigger sprayer.

  • Publication number: 20070178063
Abstract: Methods for treating cancer by co-administering a therapeutic monoclonal antibody with IL-21 are described. Exemplary monoclonal antibodies that can be used are rituximab, trastuzumab and anti-CTLA-4 antibodies. The enhanced antitumor of the combination therapy is particularly useful for patient populations that are recalcitrant to monoclonal therapy, relapse after treatment with monoclonal antibodies or where the enhanced IL-21 antitumor effect reduces toxicities associated with treatment using the monoclonal antibodies.

  • Publication number: 20070173451
Abstract: A soluble receptor that binds to IL-20 having two polypeptide subunits, IL-22R and IL-20RB. The two subunits are preferably linked together. In one embodiment one subunit is fused to the constant region of the light chain of an immunoglobulin, and the other subunit is fused to the constant region of the heavy chain of the immunoglobulin. The light chain and the heavy chain are connected via a disulfide bond.
