  • Patent number: 10324045
Abstract: Methods and systems for reducing illumination intensity while scanning over large particles are presented herein. A surface inspection system determines the presence of a large particle in the inspection path of a primary measurement spot using a separate leading measurement spot. The inspection system reduces the incident illumination power while the large particle is within the primary measurement spot. The primary measurement spot and the leading measurement spot are separately imaged by a common imaging collection objective onto one or more detectors. The imaging based collection design spatially separates the image of the leading measurement spot from the image of the primary measurement spot at one or more wafer image planes. Light detected from the leading measurement spot is analyzed to determine a reduced power time interval when the optical power of the primary illumination beam and the leading illumination beam are reduced.

  • Publication number: 20190061905
Abstract: An airfoil that comprises a chamber having a forward-facing chamber opening may result in increased lift and decreased drag relative to a standard airfoil having deployed flaps, for example on an airplane wing. In embodiments, the chamber opening is located on or near the pressure surface of the airfoil. The airfoil chamber may enhance the lift-generating ability of the airfoil due to increased pressure at the pressure surface.

  • Patent number: 7899189
Abstract: The present invention includes one or more clients in communication with a server. The client desires to send a storage construct to the server for storage. The client negotiates a transmission key with the server. The client generates a storage key associated specifically with the storage construct. The client encrypts the storage construct using the storage key and encrypts the storage key using the transmission key. The encrypted storage construct and encrypted storage key are sent to the server. The server decrypts the storage key using the transmission key. The server stores the storage construct on a storage device separate from a storage device storing the storage key. Preferably, any changes to the storage construct location, the storage key location, or the storage construct name are tracked and proper modifications are made to an association relating the location of the storage construct and the location for the corresponding storage key.
